Congratulations ENGLAND
First topic message reminder :
I'd like to congratulate England and SL on winning this years 6 Nations. Irrespective of your outcome against Wales in Cardiff you will win the championship on points difference at the very least. The most consistent team thus far by a mile. I apppreciate if you don't win the Slam it will be a disappointment, nevertheless winning the championship is still an achievement and of course you still have a good chance of the Slam. This is no disrespect to Italy by the way but we have to face facts so well played

ok then, I'll await your hearty congratulations on here when England do the Slam on the 16th.
In a poor all round 6 Nations it would not be worth shouting about would it?
Hmmmmmm now when did I hear comments like that before?
This has been the poorest 6 Nations for years.

Re: Congratulations ENGLAND
Ahhh I see, getting the 6n 'devaluation' in pre-emptively early.
Still 6 matches left to play so bit early to write it all off as 'poor'.
I agree France have been uncharacteristically bad, as has the 6n weather.
England have made mistakes, but have had the grit to win through each time.

Re: Congratulations ENGLAND
This year's 6N has not been great from a quality point of view due to the rubbish weather and the number of injuries suffered by most teams, this year seem much worse than previous years. I suspect these injuries are down to the AI's (depending on the opponents) and the HC games prior to the 6N. There is a good justification to move the 6N to the end of season improving the quality of play also the timing of the games may help NH teams for the RWC and Lions tours.

Re: Congratulations ENGLAND
glamorganalun,
In principle I have to agree about moving the Six Nations to the end of the season. It would add consistency to the club season and then to the International season. And, can you imagine the atmosphere if people watching were not wearing 12 layers of clothes?
But, unfortunately, that would still require extra weeks in the season because we still have some club match during the Six Nations. Also, what would we do this time of year? Its kind of programmed in our DNA.

The Millie pitch-on-pallets rolled out under that sweaty roof is an appallingly poor surface for scrumming & running.
