Can Ireland beat Italy? - Page 9 Empty Can Ireland beat Italy?

First topic message reminder :

Italy are well overdue beating Ireland and I can see them pushing very hard for a second 6N victory. As an irishman I'll be watching this game very nervously in what may be O driscolls and kidneys last game...

Not keen on Conor Macnamara's commentary. Is he normally on RTÉ? Can't be worse than Jason Mohammed though.

Irish lineout is falling apart...

Lineout is a shambles- Best is not throwing well, the timing and jumping is poor. Good turnover there, I think it was Marshall.

Italy playing with verve and ambition, must have got a lot of confidence from last week at Twickenham.

Yes they still do. I really don't think they should - especially when Italy are playing at home. How chuffed would they be if they win this? They've never beaten Ireland in the Six Nations so I hear.

6-3 Italy. As far as I see, they were poor against Wales and Scotland, good against England, and excellent against France. Which is far better than usual.

Utterly utterly clueless in attack, passive in defence. Lineout a complete shambles, POM hiding in the backs again and going no support to Heaslip and SOB, poor kicking. Dreadful.

That must be Conor Macnamara (the other is Philip Matthews). I'm not keen on his commentary either.

I've no idea how you can expect him to be out of the way quicker, there is no actual law that Healy is breaking.

The difference between a good backrower like Zanni and POM is stark. Absolutely no comparison between Heaslip and Parisse

Madigan on for Marshall. Jeez...if Ireland do have any players left for the Lions tour, they won't last long at this rate!

Shame Wee Paddy missed that. 6-3 at 28 minutes.

Surely a contributing factor to these injuries is we kick everything so we have to make so many more tackles.

The major problems for Ireland are not the backrow. We are really missing POC on days like this, there is not a hope in hell the lineout goes to sh*t with him.

And now BOD is yellow carded.

fair play to the italian fans. if only the aviva made half the amount of noise
