Declan Kidney- IRFU decide not to renew contract
First topic message reminder :
Declan Kidney has been sacked.
The search for a new ireland coach begins.
Les Kiss appointed interm coach. is this an interview for the top job. what can the IRFU learn about him during a tour to the states?

Re: Declan Kidney- IRFU decide not to renew contract
Sin, you're not understanding what I'm saying. Earls did what he was supposed to do, but it was a basic task, he shouldn't be praised to high heaven, he deserves some credit for it, but he shouldn't be showered with praise, I expect him to be able to do that, I would be peed off he ballsed up one of those tries but he didn't so all power to him.
I'm sure you two would agree that Laulala and Downey probably had thier best game together on Sunday, they looked like a cohesive partnership in attack and solid in defence. There's a lot of rugby to played between now and the semi, no one should be guaranteed their place but you have to play your way into it, if Earls proves he is fit and plays well I would have no problem with him or anyone playing, why would I?
Final note, before I have to go Earls is a good player, he can become a better one needs to work on playing consistently and show some self confidence and belief in himself, good talking to you boys.

The omens are good for this one (a bit like Leinster in '09 - winning away to Quins in the QFs, then winning the semi-final against Munster who everyone thought was unbeatable after the stunning win down in USAP).
I don't expect us to win, but I won't be shocked if we do!
Montpelier is very difficult (& expensive to get to) so I doubt if I'll be going.

Your right. It was still after a stunning victory over the Ospreys in the QFs
(43-9). Munster scored 4 tries (Keith Earls in the centre with Mafi - De Villiers hadn't arrived yet!).
Anyway, no one gave Leinster a prayer in the semi after scraping through against the Quins.

I wouldn't say noone gave Leinster a pray, but they won ugly in the mud we won pretty in the sun. They out foxed us that day and went on to some pretty spectacular days thereafter. Showed they learned a lot from having lost to two Magners games that year.
Man, I remember that day in Croker, and reassuring myself up until the 70th minute that we could get this one back. Ah well, roll on Clermont! Have flights & ticket booked! Boom!
