Scarlets V Glasgow
First topic message reminder :
Ciao Juve, I've been away and the boards seem quiet as regards the Warriors so let's get started. Very much a must win for the Scarlet Women. Although four points may not even put them fourth. Whereas even an LBP will keep the Warriors in the top three. As for team selection, assuming everyone is fit ( where's UIG when you need him?) I'D start with
1.Grant
2. WeePee
3.Angela, although Muzza made a huge difference when he came on against the former Irish giants at Scotstoun.
4. Big Al
5. Swinson who seems to be betting better all the time
6. Bluto if we want to attack them from the off Harley if we want to take the sting out of them and then bring on Bluto
7. Barclay wears the jersey till he leaves just so we can appreciate him
8. Wilson
9. Niko/Henry same logic as 6
10. got to start with Rhurarb after Munster 51
11. DTH
12. Hornee furra Linee
13. Dunbar
14. NoMaits
15 Lion in Waiting
Murchie, Schlong and the Messiah can all feel hard done by OR could all play. If we come close to replicating the second 40 against Munster 51 then we will pocket 5 pts. If we reproduce the first 40 it could be a long, frustrating night.

Yup - should have been Glasgow pen - but clancy will give nothing at all today to glasgow. Missed 4 knock ons, 3 clear obstructions, gave a scrum for an offside at a knock on.
Scarets playing well but clancy is penalising Glasgow out of the game and letting Scarlets get away with things he penalised Galsgow for. ruined the game.
The Scarlets loose head was standing bolt upright and they got shunted back.

If Munster beat Leinster, and the Ospreys win all their remaining games, we could see two Welsh regions in the playoffs.

Also Glasgow can't get to the ruck because there is a Scarlets played lying on the wrong side. Result penalty to Scarlets

Yeah I agree
Probably because Glasgow have had barely any ball. Pretty easy to out play your opposite number if they have only had the ball a couple of times.

I know what you mean, but I genuinely think he was saying that if he was there and they were over two converted scores ahead like the Scarlets then now is the time to try to get the bonus point if they have ambitions of making the play offs. They've got a cushion, so why not? The terminology 'game is won' is not the best, but perhaps a turn of phrase for being so far ahead rather than out and out arrogance?

6.5 to me. He isn't a good 7 IMO.
Edit: Turnbull is also a 6 and a pretty average player.

He is a penalty machine for the opposition when he gets it wrong, but he plays almost all his games at 7 and is far more of a natural 7 than anyone else at the Scarlets
Scarlets should be going for tries if they want a playoff place

Oh I think its right - no way back for glasgow and they should be looking for the bonus point. If the score was reversed that is what I would be saying

Blues, of course the ref has been ok. The Glasgow fans are just frustrated which is very understandable.

How Liam Williams hasn't managed a Welsh 6N chance I just don't know, if he played for any other team in the NH he'd be near first choice by now!!!

Two words - Leigh Halfpenny
Williams is a fantastic talent and a great backup to have - I really want to see him get some more caps, good to see he is getting some practise on the wing now aswell which should help his Wales chances

Hook is considered a FB cover, Halfpenny wing cover and therefore they need a replacement Centre (Scott Williams ability to play on the wing if necessary help)

Clancy has been crap - missed a few things Glasgow have done as well but his failures have cost Glasgow dear. Glasgow should have had a scrum penalty befeor the Scarlets second try. thats a gamechanger right there. Scarlets front row stood up and going backwards but no pen.
Glasgow been poor tho for sure - wrong selection?
