I think floyd may have hurt his right hand, not throwing it as often and Floyd Sr said "just use your left"

10-1, maybe I was a bit early to read anything into him not throwing the right as he did in the last minute there with some force

118-110 and that may be generous to Guerrero.

119-109 Floyd, easy night for floyd and nothing less than I expected
He has taken no damage throughout his career so isn't going to age like normal fighters
Official scores
117-111 (x3) for Floyd

Floyd has lost his power, He landed so many right punches but none of them even moved Guerrero.

Guerrero is pretty tough though, I dont think many people were expecting him to be knocked down tonight. Mayweather had enough power to discourage him.
Impressive performance. I thought Floyds prison stint might have taken something out of him, but I guess not.

Lost his power? What power. He has never been a heavy hitter since he's moved up. Aydin and Berto are 2 big strong punching natural welterweights and neither really hurt guerrero despite them landing clean shots throughout

You could hear him end f round 8 state his right hand is hurt and so he was advised to use just his left.
One handed mayweather just handed a beat down.
Had he not hurt his hand end of round 8 he would have stopped him.

lol cos guerrero looked so hurt in rounds 1-8.
Face it Floyd can only win by UD these days because he has no power. His last real KO was back in 2007.

Floyds legs clearly haven't gone, moved as well as I've seen him move. Had it 119-109, Guerrero had the second but Floyd was on point, pure domination.

I dont think Floyd would have stopped him, but Guerrero has a very good chin, but its clear Floyd has never been a big puncher since moving to 147.

When will Flod fight next? if he waits another year then at 37 and after a year out the ring rust and father time must surely come into play.

You are wrong, Guerrero's face was just as damaged as it was against Berto and Berto never had him in trouble like Floyd did in the 8th. Floyd hits as hard as he did back in 2007 which is mediocre for a welterweight, but that doesn't mean he's lost any power. If you think he has then you haven't seen a lot of mayweather fights

You are talking nonsense. Go and look at Guerreros face after the Berto fight and then look at Guerreros face after the floyd fight. Floyd did barely any damage.
Berto destroyed guerreros face.

Wrong, floyd is a light hitter now which is why he has not KO'd anyone properly since 2007.

Khan will take it. Career high payday for a safe fight. Mad not to.
Safe in the knowledge that he will lose but his career enhanced depending on his performance.

Re: Fight Thread For This Weekends Action: Vlad, De Leon, Mares, Santa Cruz... Oh, and Mayweather vs The Ghost
Its when Floyd admits he took the Guerrero fight because Guerrero was an easier night than Cotto that I get irritated. Of course it was a brilliant perfomance, but The Pretty Boy is an all-time great coming up a modern pound-for-pounder.
Whats more irritating is that people will say he doesnt need to fight tough fights anymore. This of course is an indictement on the state of boxing today, and why it really cant be taken seriously anymore. Imagine Rafa Nadal choosing to face Andy Roddick for a Roland Garros final (different sports, but that gives you an idea of how ridiculous the current state is)
I know Guerrero is a mandatory, but when you declined fighting your mandatory for four years, I dont quite believe he picked The Ghost just because he is mandatory.
Nothing against Floyd, its more the state the sport is in right now.

This was literally the hardest fight he could've taken! Only other person is pacquiao who lost his last 2 fights! And as of differnt networks and TR being ridiculous some fights will just never be made! Boxing needs a billionaire to take over and make it similar to UFC

So Guerrero > Canelo?
Guerrero > Martinez, who is willing to go to 154? (well, probably now, but no one knew that when fights were being negotiated).
Guerrero beat a doper on a losing streak to get this fight. Hardly going through (an old) Sugar Shane, and Austing Trout. Mayweather himself admitted he took an easier fight, are you seriously going to claim it was the toughest fight he could take?

As I figured. Floyd wins and the muppets asking why he didn't fight Saul and Martinez. Errr they both fought recently. Also if Martinez wants to come down to 154 why not fight Saul?

Azania you must be stupid. Ever heard of NEGOTIATIONS? Alvarez last fight before Trout was Sept. Trout only beat Cotto in Dec. If he really wanted Saul, he would have put up an offer, especially for Cinco de Mayo.
Mayweather himself admitted he took an easier fight. Is the concept really that hard to fathom? So you dont want the best to face the best? Its that head in sand approach that frustrates me. Nothing against Floyd for taking an easier fight, I would do the same if the money was better. Its on the market to demand you take better fights. Obviously you guys are happy with Floyd half-as.sing his way to $200 million. Cant criticize a man if he is giving the people what they want.

The Saul fight will happen. He is being built up. Prior to trout his best win was Rhodes. People (you) would have moaned if he fought Saul and not trout or martinez.
