Swansea look good there, apparently Shelvey played well which is nice, I think Liverpool will regret selling him, if he can work on his discipline he'll be an excellent player. Hoping we might have stuck a buy back clause in there, would rather we have shipped Allen back to them to be honest.

So Soldado is deffo coming to totenham..

Bale needs to understand what he is walking out on tbh..

The big fish in a team that has every chance in making the top 4 or go to a club where he wont even be able to take free kicks.

Good luck totenham , and just keep hold of Bale.. There is no reason to get rid. Bale is a pro and although he might be a bit gutted- He is a brit and he will get over it- he wont ne in a place where he doesnt want to be every day- he will still enjoy being around his mates etc!!- its not like a tevez or a potenial suraez situation.. Totenham will have a better team than arsernal and tbh a pretty close one to Man u's.

I think if they buy another couple then they truely can push!

I don't think you can pretend that Tottenham are a more attractive prospect than Madrid, especially if Madrid are willing to spend world record fees on you, it shows that you're wanted, it's not going to be like Michael Owen.

It will be hard for Bale, I don't think it's a matter of wanting to leave Tottenham, it's just that Real Madrid is an irresistible prospect, he's got a good chance of winning titles, Champions Leagues etc. Apparently the reason he isn't submitting transfer requests or demanding to leave is because he doesn't want to destroy his relationship with the Spurs fans which shows that it isn't a matter of leaving Spurs.

Point being- if Totenham stick on bale, Bale will not be the whinger or allow his form to dip on the back of not getting what he wants in going to madrid.

Tbf so did Olsson for Blackburn, looked class in the prem but then in the Championship looked a bit more average. Interesting, can't really work that out.

But Grandin never impressed me a great deal in either league, poor signing. Surprised Palace got rid of Andre Moritz, he is better than Grandin IMO.

Chamak looked very poor for arsenal, but to be fair to him thought there style didnt suit him at all. If you can get decent service in he might do alright for palace

Funnily enough arsenal have now started getting more crosses in

we have murray when he is back from injury. One of our players that could do very well in the prem. So he is only a quick fix and back up(we also have phillips all though he is old- can finish!). I cant see us playing 2 full on strikers anyway.

Hopefully bolasie williams and murray(once fit) will be a good enough attack to score the odd goal!!!

I liked Chamakh when he played for us against QPR, he was alright without being spectacular. He just disappeared from our squad as his time on loan with us went on, not even making the bench a lot of the time, and when he did he seemed to be there for numbers sake. A worse signing than Pogatetz in the end

On a more serious note if being booed off in pre-season doesn't make you get your ass in gear in the transfer market, I don't know what will.

Not spent a penny yet have Arsenal

Arsene Wenger only last week, `my squad is good enough`. Embarrassing. Suarez would be a fool to join Arsenal. Desperation signings will now follow.

Wenger should have gone years ago, Arsenal have done bugger all since losing to Barcelona in the Champions League final.

Apart from that is, the major achievement of finishing in the top 4, which is just as good as a trophy itself. (sarcasm!)

I did see Wenger point out that the other teams around him like Chelsea and Manchester United haven't improved heavily either, but that's surely just another reason for him to be bringing in signings? If he feels the teams around them aren't improving, then he should be taking advantage of this.

You can't help but feel they've put all their eggs in the Suarez basket, and with the failure of their bid to actually hit a clause they've got egg on their face. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a panic bid for Rooney.

I find it funny how bad Arsenal are!

Suarez would be a complete numpty to join Arsenal, he is way too good for them.

Still there fans are a bit stupid to boo there own side of in pre season.

Drogba what a goal earlier btw, his touch was amazing for the 2nd goal. Pure class.

The day that that piece of diving, cheating scum is better than one of England's oldest and most noble clubs, is probably the same day as when I turn back on my Anglo-Saxon heritage, embrace the Argentine flag, and vote Labour.

I wonder if this will signal a written transfer request from the player given the media reports?

I would be interested for Rooney to actually come out one way or another and say what he wants. I don't want it to get to deadline day and he says he wants out

I just want to hear his stance. If he publically comes out and says he wants out then I say get rid

But if we even consider selling before strengthening our team then we may as well admit defeat in the coming season.

Looks like we've lost out on Fabregas, we've been linked with Scweinsteiger yet I honestly reckon we'd have more chance of signing Thiago from them (Schweinsteiger is the most unrealistic transfer target I think we've ever been linked to). The two names I hear creeping up are Fellaini and Cabaye and truth be told I wouldn't have either. True they may strengthen a poor midfield but they won't bridge the ever increasing gap between us and European titles

It's not that unrealistic of a signing, during pre-season Schweinsteiger has been pushed and moved around of the pith, usually to accommodate the manager's favourite Thiago. I wouldn't be surprised to see him tempted by Manchester United.

Fellaini and Cabaye are poor targets really, both not young, both will be overpriced and both aren't as good as United's rivals players. They would probably be good enough to continue to challenge for the title, but not good enough if United want to remain competitive in Europe.

Don't get me wrong Crimey I'd be doing somersaults if it happened, but this isn't Football Manager and as Gerrard is too Liverpool, Schweinsteiger is Bayern through and through and wouldn't leave

Agree with the rest though. Both will hardly put the fear of God into our rivals
