I don't think this has anything to do with money, he wants to play for a better club in the Champions League.

I just would have liked him to give us 1 more season, where he keeps performing the way he has, but without the stupid incidents.

Try finding a world class striker now, got to hope money talks on this one

The stats don't lie Chris my flower.

Liverpool haven't signed a world class (or borderline world class ) striker since Torres. Can't see that changing during the summer.

He wasn't when we signed him no. Is he now? Possibly but being the liability that he is dilutes him.

I don't share this thought that losing him will see us drift into mid table mediocrity like many believe.

Probably worth remembering that Suarez is very wasteful in front of goal, don't get me wrong he has improved this season but we need a very clinical striker. If he wants to leave let him, no point having an unhappy player at the club.

He's a proven goalscorers who won't break this bank

Sturridge, Bent, Benteke and Borini is a decent 4 for a team at Liverpool's level

I want him at palace so you wont get me agreeing with you..

Liverpool need some star quality to replace Suarez.. 40 mill plus the 15 odd from carrol, plus the rest of the transfer budget.. Come on is time to get signings..

Well palace are going to offer 8 mill for bent.. others may follow- this price may go up(which seems mental to me.. we ship zaha for 15 yet have to pay so much for such less quality!!- that offcourse is the way it works if you are a palace!!)

Benetke is supposedly targetted by Athletico for the tune of 17.5 mill.

If liverpool want them be prepared to pay..

Personally If you are shipping suarez- Try and do a partial swap deal with some quality at madrid( shame higuain has gone!!)

Liverpool under Rodgers will be a huge success. They had a good first season under him, i expect even more from them next season and i could potentially see them getting 4th spot.

By the sounds of it, Suarez is going to ditch Liverpool even though they want him to stay. I would have thought after all Liverpool had done for him, he might show a bit of loyalty and perseverance, but no. He's a vile person, a terrible role-model, and the PL will be better off without him. Liverpool will be better off without him.

I'm not sure Liverpool will be better off without him. That they've pandered to him so much, reflects just how vital he is to them as their last player of genuine world class talent.

Time will, obviously, tell. How much do you reckon he'll be sold for?

I'd go with 30m.

can you see liverpool releaseing him for less.

Liverpool are holding firm saying they want to keep him for this reason.

They are telling potential club's he isnt going for less than 40m..

If he was rubbish they would ship for whatever.

they just need to hold firm and they will get 40 plus

Anyone could have told you that, it's the luiz Suarez show, he is thick and doesn't realise what has been done for him - but a life in football is very short and as soon as he isn't capable any more hell be ditched with very few friends. Although his bank balance will comfort him.

he has a 40m release clause..

If he leaves under his own instruction during his contract he or the club buying have to pay the release clause..

If a club is only willing to pay less than 40m.. and suarez still wants to go. He would be forced to pay the difference(If liverpool wanted to make it stick that is!)

on the filp side

If liverpool wanted to ship him under contract and suarez didnt want to move on. He would be entitled (legally) to the rest of his contract salary..

Its the way contracts work. That doesnt mean to say they are allways carried out

This whole "release clause" thing is just speculation though.

I've read plenty of times that so and so has a release clause to then be moved on for a lot less than the stated figure.

We'll see what happens.

Get rid, Not worth the hassle anymore any way..

But he is top class and highly valued.. I cant see him not going to madirid either. They have got rid of Higuan. He will be a slight improvement. What other striker out there could be bought for 40m that is available

Absolutely not.

Great player, shocking attitude and would bring too much disrepute with him, pretty sure Moyes would kick a lump out of him.

i would rather Utd went for a another strike instead of Suarez to be perfectly honest.

i think Suarez would cause trouble at United with Evra being there and everything.
