Champions League Final
First topic message reminder :
So this weekend we have the all German final of Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich, both teams have done well to get to the final, beating a half of the El Classico each.
The biggest news for the final so far is Mario Gotze is going to miss it through injury. This avoids what would have been one of the most interesting stories going into the final with it being Gotze's last game before moving to Munich.
What are everybody's predictions? I think Bayern will finally win the final 2-1, in extra time.

Re: Champions League Final
German footballs revival since the early 2000 is certainly something the English FA should take note of. Like England's current team, they had lost track of the European elite

Went for a pass in a warmup and banged his ankle against a teammate. Might be ok. Would be gutting for him to miss out after missing the penalty a year ago before Drogba stepped up.

Have to wonder just how much Dortmund will miss Gotze tonight.

A lot I suspect. Lewandowski may just be starved of service.

I wonder if Carra will get a few CL gigs next season what with him winning it and all that?
Redknapp grinds on me.

Re: Champions League Final
Carragher needs to soften the Scouse accent a bit before he becomes TV material I suspect. Seems an interesting bloke with good insight like Neville but that accent

The accent doesn't bother me to be honest.

I can't imagine Carras voice breaking live on air like Nevilles did when Torres scored last season

Interesting prematch routines.
Anyway. Bayern might not have a better chance to exorcise the demons of Munich and Madrid where they came up short

Why do we feel the need to make massive jubblies of ourselves in opening ceremonies?

What's the deal with Robben and Ribery these days? Are they mates again?

Re: Champions League Final
Dunno. Pair of chokers the 2 of them.
Scratch that, Riberys performances in finals is right in line with everytime I've ever seen him play.

Re: Champions League Final
Schweinsteiger is my favourite player on either side, and in my opinion the best player in the world this year. He needs some serious silverware to add credibility to my assertion (As all players not named Messi do)

Again Bender should really do better. Dortmund aren't going to keep Bayern tied down throughout, they need to take one of these chances

Weidenfeller pulls off a worldie to deny Manzukic.
Might've been onto the bar. And Martinez over the bar from the corner.

Think the fast start has really got into the heads of the Bayern players who are veterans of losing finals. Ribery in particular
