Proper nasty game at Old Trafford. Six yellows, and Young/Pogba/Kimpembe are all fortunate to still be on the pitch.

PSG controlled the game all night, never looked in trouble and handled United with ease. All that without Cavani and Neymar. Pogba getting red-carded just sums it up for Ole.

Sensational second half from Spurs has seen them destroy German table-toppers Dortmund, even without Kane and Alli.

Yes, Dortmund were without some key players but Tottenham - under strength themselves - made the German side look third-raters in the second half.

Despite Liverpool's centre-back crisis, the BT Sport pundits are writing off Bayern's chances. We'll see. Should be a close tie.

Dull, dull game. Bizarre lack of ambition from Liverpool, not even sure they had a shot on target the whole game, who will now need a score draw or outright victory in Munich.

Just saw the VAR penalty. Not a fan of taking 5 minutes to change a borderline decision.

If it isn't immediately obviously the wrong decision it should stay with the on field decision.

Ajax 4-1 up now. Real Madrid showing how mediocre they truly are when they aren’t getting dodgy penalties or offside goals.

Matthijs de Ligt will be the best CB of his generation. Incredible player

Before anyone claims that Ronaldo and Zidanes departures are the cause of this Real collapse should look at them last season. They were absolutely hopeless in Spain and had the luckiest CL run I have ever seen, particularly the semi final 2 legs vs Bayern.

They are a bizarre side. They've won more Champions Leagues than El Clasicos in the last 5 years.

Madrid's season is over and it seems a huge clear-out is on the way. Ajax were superb.

Mission impossible for United tonight. Two goals down and about ten players out due to either suspension or injury.

They might be, but with five teenagers on the bench and Eric Bailly hopelessly out of his depth at right-back, United are 99.9999999% likely to be knocked out this evening.

Well this is bizarre. 120 minutes of football and United haven't created a decent chance, but they've scored two.

Man U go 3-1 up with a Rashford penalty awarded by VAR at the end of 90 minutes, and ahead on away goals. Now PSG putting the pressure in in the 6th minute of the 3 minutes of injury time.

If they hang on I think the only conclusion is that OGS is Fergie reincarnated.

And that is why we love sport - A severely depleted Man U side 0-2 down after the first leg against the most expensive side in the world. Not a hope of going through.

And then the narrative was pure Man U, with the injury time penalty...

Wow. Simply the greatest comeback I've ever seen in football. Better than Munich 99. Better than Istanbul. Better than Chelsea in the Camp Nou. United missing ten players, hopelessly outmatched, on away turf against opponents with a great record.

Smalling was mesmeric in his duel with Mbappe. Young was immense. Lindelof too. Fred excellent. Astonishing composure from Rashford to bury the penalty so convincingly.

How great it is to see PSG out. How absurd that United have scored three without creating a decent chance. Football, bloody hell.

AWESOME! I can't remember the last time that I've enjoyed a United result this much and been so nervous waiting for the final whistle.

Well done United and well done Rashford. He didn't particularly play well, but he was calm and good enough to score the penalty.

Neymar and the rest of the PSG players must be in their dressing room in tears. Laugh

Blanc bottled it vs Chelsea after leading 3-1 from 1st leg.
Emery bottled 4-0 lead vs Barca.
Tuchel has bottled 2-0 away lead vs depleted Man Utd.

Enter Mourinho.

Don't think it can be counted as an all time great comeback with 2 absolute gifts of goals and a shambolic pen. Still, without the element of luck sport would be boring. Ole is a breath of fresh air.

I think it’s a pen, unsure whether VAR is meant to be used for that but once they see it’s a possible pen, I don’t see how they can ignore another look.

To me it's one of those that looks far worse in slow motion than it does at real speed. Replays in sports for me should really only be correcting obvious mistakes.

Literally everyone was getting ready for the corner, Dalot with a half shout Laugh have to agree with GSC on his VAR take, if we're using slowed down replays for handballs like that, then we're going to start having penalties for everything. It's like shirt pulling in the box, unless you're giving 20 penalties a game it's going to happen

I think it’s a pen but don’t see it as an error needing correction as it’s a very subjective call. For me, arm is out so he’s a little bigger and it’s far enough away not to be instant.

It looks like a “top-sixer” and I’d be happy for refs to give less dodgy pens to top six teams or a reflective amount against them with VAR. I’m firmly VAR in, though. I don’t really agree that’s there’s a perfect example of the rules and I very much agree that refs should be given some leeway to show common sense and have their own views within the laws. Credit to the bods in the VAR shed for giving it to the ref to look at again, and I think they’ll get better and better at it as it goes

Nah, this is small fry compared to what Man U did in Europe 1998-99. For a start this was in the last sixteen, not a semi final or final. Doesn't have that same cachet or significance. Moreover, PSG have a (deserved) reputation as being a little bit tender and wobbly in these kind of games - they've failed to close out seemingly dominant winning positions over two-legged ties before. Whereas Juventus were widely acclaimed as being THE team to beat in Europe in the second half of the nineties. The Bayern team which United beat in the final (another miraculous comeback) was more or less the same team which won the tournament two years later, too.

That United team had to drag themselves up from their bootlaces to make it happen for them. No helping hands like individual errors and dodgy penalty calls, ala last night.

Don't get me wrong - last night was an outstanding result for them, and a great achievement. But there's a danger that their treble in 1999 is actually becoming a shade underappreciatd, as crazy as that sounds.

Will generally always be cheering for any team who plays United. In this instance though, if they were going to dump out anyone in those circumstances, im so glad it was PSG. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving team.

Because Man Utd have won and have made history, the rumours are coming in strong that Ole probably will get the job on a full time basis.

According to some Utd players, Ole is "certain get the job".

I hope he does get it, he's proven himself time and time again with only 1 loss.

He's done so so well that it would make total sense for him to get the job full time.

It was a stonewall penalty. Clear as day. The defender looks at Dalot, gets into an unnatural position and at the last moment turns his head away to trick the referee.

I'd mostly agree with that. I can see an argument for it being a penalty, but I can't see it being a 'clear and obvious error' that needs overturning by VAR.

With the situation that United found themselves in, I would rate last night as a higher achievement. A patchwork side, missing ten players with about half a dozen of those being first-teamers, overturning a 2-0 deficit against PSG who had only lost two of their last 31 games (something around that mark) at home in the Champions League, and who haven't conceded three goals at home in all competitive competitions for nearly four years. It's an utterly ridiculous achievement and the manner in which they achieved it was completely ludicrous.

I think the split on whether it was or wasn't probably reflects best that this wasn't obvious enough to be changed by VAR.

Not a fan of UEFAs implementation so far.

I wouldn't usually sh*t on somones parade, it's clearly a great result, but, that's an absurd claim.

It's nowhere near as good as the '99 Final. It's not as good as Barca vs PSG, and it's not even as good as Newcastle vs Arsenal.

Two goals in stoppage time is nice. Scoring six at home is wonderful. Scoring four in one half at home is exceptional.

But scoring three in a Paris fortress whilst missing half a dozen first-team players is out of this world.

And some way short of what Liverpool achieved in Istanbul.  That very good Milan side could have easily been 4 or 5 up at halftime and were completely dominant apart from the mad few minutes at the start of the second half.  Could also argue that Deportivo overhauling Milan 5-4 in 2004 by beating them 4-0 was a greater achievement than last night.  I'm also not convinced that it's a greater comeback than a very young Ajax side going to the Bernabeu and winning 4-1.

So in summary, it's the greatest comeback ever by a team in a Champions League match on Wednesday 6th February 2019.

I've nothing against United but I despair for the future of football if that sort of handball is considered a penalty. A shot going well over the bar that ricochets off Kimpembe's upper arm?

Accidental handballs should only be a foul if they've denied a clear goalscoring chance. Anyone who says otherwise should not be playing football
