Fiorentina are not that bad, they have some pretty good player there, i expect the money for Gomez will be repayed when they sell Jovetic?

Thought Gomez was an Arsenal target, pure finisher and probably cheaper than Higuain. That opens the door for a striker at Bayern, either Lewandowski or Suarez????

I think they are buying him understandably so to replace or to back up Jovetic if he does go or stay.

Lewandowski is supposed to be staying at Dortmund for one more year isn't he? Then he'll be going to Bayern? Surely they'd need to replace Gomez straight away though as they'd be very short up top.

Pizarro just signed an extension, they're fine
I expect Muller could play ST at a push, as could Kroos. They could just play the false 9 too, they have enough players for it.

Apologies for going off-topic, but one of the sports gaming leagues has a new vacancy: https://www.606v2.com/t45215-606v2-europa-league-come-and-be-a-fake-football-manager
The Roma team is excellent, and taking part in the league isn't very time-consuming. Come along and have a bit of fake managerial fun

Mandzukic & Pizarro is not good enough for Bayern to attack on three fronts in terms of League, Cup & Champions League. Dortmund have already signed Aubamayang and will only play hardball for so long. They will want so kind of return on Lewandowski, I would just sell now and get £25m or in January and get £10m-£15m but by then he would be cup-tied. Suarez would be Pep's choice I reckon.

I haven't seen much on Van Ginkel. Confused about Schurlle. Think Chelsea have a lot of players that can do similar jobs and wondering were he'll fit in. I know its a squad game but will he be first choice in that midfield?
Mata, Hazard and Oscar I think are probably the three best and may be the first choice, can't see Schurlle getting much of a look in personally
With Gomez leaving Bayern, and Dortmund being stubborn choosing to let Lewandowski walk away for free in 12 months time that opens up a spot for a striker in Munich. Suarez or Rooney anybody?

A few rumor sites are suggest mr Suarez may have a release clause in his contract for 40.5m - I can't see it somehow but Liverpool very much downplayed that last season

The theory is that he wants to stay in Spain, play Champions league football, but his fitness concerns and the fact there are few clubs who could probably do a deal in that country for him means the fee goes lower.

Mario Gomez to Florence is an utter steal for La Viola!!
They finished 4th last year, and with some of the signings they have made they look set to challenge for the CL spots again this season.
Gomez flanked by Rossi and Jovetic is an epic front 3! Ljajic is very handy as well to replace Jo-Jo if he does move, plus they also signed Joaquin for an attacking trident.

He got punched by the old manager who left for Sampdoria last season, they now have Montella in charge, and play the most attractive football in Italy.
AC Milan have confirmed interest in Ljajic actually over last few days.
Either way Fiorentina shaping up nicely

Trust a Real Madrid President at your peril. He also says Ronaldo wants to retire at Real and that they have twice before tried to hire Ancelotti. I would venture one of them is him being big headed and another is a lie to make it seem like Ancelotti is the worlds best manager (no dig at Carlo btw)

Yeah, Gosling is gone......thank god. Hopefully Williamson, Obertan and the other useless junk we have will follow suit.
I don't think Levy is that stupid, he's no mug. David Villa of 2013 is not the David Villa of two years ago. The latest broken leg took something out of his game and he's never fully recovered, hence why he couldn't even get past Sanchez or Tello in the Barca ranks. At his age, he probs was asking for a big pay day to join Spurs to really convince him to leave Spain behind. I think him joining Atletico is good for all parties and most importantly he's in the Champs Leg still.

I must say I'm impressed with Hughton & Norwich's scouting system this summer, doing a fine job. With respect to Norwich, they are not a massive club and to have already signed Van Wolfswinkel and now possibly Toby Alderweireld is just downright brilliant for that club. These players were in high demand this summer and I'm sure Alderweireld was linked with Liverpool and other top clubs. I really thought Norwich would be struggling to hang onto EPL status, they might still, but these are good signings.

Apparantly Chelsea are interested in benteke. If they got him for 20m, they'd have Ba, Lukaku, Benteke. All very similar players and I assume Torres would leave if that signing was made. Mourihno obviously looking for a Drogba esque player. I like Benteke but I did feel he was very hot and cold last season. Ultimately kept villa up but Ba didn't set the world alight at Chelsea. Harder than it seems to step up to a big club after doing so well for a smaller club.

Re: 2013 Summer Transfer Window Thread ......Continued
Basically they sold Milner for £26m, surely Lerner will use that as a benchmark price but then again that's for English talent which is of course over-priced. I would put a fee of around £22m for Benteke, seeing as they bought him for like £6m or around that mark. This of course will have an effect upon the future of Darren Bent now, basically Newcastle sitting back doing nothing and haggling over a couple of million is going to possibly cost us the deal altogether now.
As for Benteke, it has Liverpool written all over it in my opinion. This should start the ball rolling now for some big deals this summer.

Arsenal or Spurs, perfect for them both. Frankly, not worth it for Chelsea, they have a young Belgian striker who is fast, strong and scores goals.
Toby at Norwich? Madness, no offence guys but there are bigger clubs who must be willing to take that gamble at any price you are likely to afford. Bravo if he signs, can finally stop playing Turner

Benteke should go to Spurs IMO. It for one woul d love to see it, he would be the perfect fit there. Adebayor is too inconsistent and showed last season that he was very poor at times, Defoe is class don't get me wrong, but they cant' rely on him all the time. Benteke would be the perfect solo striker they seem to want to play. I just really hope he joins them.
That said i also think he is good enough for the Champions League, Arsenal could be a good move for him. I just hope he doesn't join Chelsea, only because it will mean Lukaku will get less of a looking, and he deserves his shot.
In short, im happy Benteke is leaving Villa, he deserves to move to a bigger club. Sorry to Villa fans, i don't mean that harshly, i just really like him as a player.
(Tottenham are my prem club for the record)

Shame if he goes. Would love him to stay.
If he does go, will he be an instant hit at a new club????
Lot of players in the past have to bigger clubs and been poor.
So that will more than likely be Benteke & Bent going.
That leaves us with:
The Fonz(probably wont get a look in).
Gabby
Helenius
Weimann
Our attacking options.
Time for big Micky Drennan to step up:D
Sadly this has been the way at Villa for a long time, selling our better players.
He has'nt gone to Germany with the squad.
We shall see.

Actually quite disappointed by Benteke
Granted he had a quality debut season but would have liked to have seen him do at least one more year with Villa, really wouldve liked to have seen a continuation of his partnership with Weissman
