Nash is also doing some coaching while here apparently which is handy for when Watson is away with England

Seems a shame to have a squad place taken up by a guy who offers no real value on the pitch though.ncfc_Tooze wrote:Azzy Mahmood wrote:Oh my goodness, why bother? You have to have a kid who can be your 3rd choice keeper, surely?

I presume Bunn remains second choice, so its the very unlikely emergency call for a third place keeper. If he were needed for a prolonged period I guess someone would be recalled. Its a last resort thing, he's likely to get under a game if he ever is forced to play

Why have your kids rotting on the bench/in the reserves rather than out on loan getting first team football?

I did say Norwich should sign some old clogger and they have with Carlo Nash. Tbh i agree with signing or having an experience keeper on the bench or as 3rd choice, as they can pass there experience on to the kids, which im sure Nash will do.

What a deal that is for Southampton, if Schneiderlin can keep his levels of performance up then their centre midfield is amazing.

Palace sign Jerome Thomas. Decent enough signing for them, free transfer and will probably suit Palace (scum) style of play.

Why on earth would Thiago go to Munich (bar linking up with Guardiola again)
There is no chance he gets into the midfield, he'd be better off sticking at Barca

Why on earth do Munich need Thiago? Getting ridiculous the amount of talent just wasted at the top clubs. Shaqiri, arguably one of brightest talents barely got a kick last year at Munich and now they want another midfielder. Fellaini at United would be horrible, absolutely horrible.
If Norwich can get Fer over the line then they`ve done very well. Can't wait to see this Defelou at Everton, see how good he really is.

Surprised nobody has moved for Erikssen this summer, he's quite an exciting player.

He's definately got ability. Just to see if he has got the mentality to adjust to a new playing and life culture at a young age.
Yer we've took a good look at Erikssen last season but yet to make any official. He wasn't our first choice but the Armenian fella went to Dortmund. This surprised me because it was well reported the Erikssen was there priority. Maybe there is something about Erikssen that clubs are not sure about.

You don't 'think' they will be there, as they are there now, and Everton have stated that neither player is for sale, there's nothing to suggest they won't be there, so let's do the logical thing and assume they will be.Soldier_Of_Fortune wrote:Haha sorry scout Az Nice to hear that you scout our signings as extensively as Liverpool have

Even with Suarez, Everton are better than Liverpool. They've proven that already. You throw in Aspas and Alberto, who have not exactly set the world alight, throw in Toure, a shadow of his former self, and Mignolet, who's not even guaranteed to start, and you have four marginal first team players.
Everton meanwhile have signed a striker proven at PL level, who's better than Jelavic, and Deulofeu, who's better than any of those Liverpool signings.
Based on recent history, Suarez almost certainly leaving (even if he doesn't, he's suspended for a while), and throw in the new signings, Everton have clearly improved their team far more than Liverpool have. And they've spent a lot less money to do so.

I expect these rumours will be confirmed or denied today as apparently Pep has a press conference
I'll genuinely be gutted, he would have been a creative spark that we need and hearing how much Xavi raves about him as well had me really looking forward to him coming over

Azzy you dont half contradict yourself. Suarez is not for sale either. Everton are pretty much skint. Large offers for both will see them leave Everton and the bids will come in sooner rather then later. They should bite the bullet now and invest wisely overwise they could end up with a healthy balance and depleted squad, which is already quite thin.
Alcaraz or Toure......Kone or Aspas.....I know who I'd rather have put it that way.
Deulofeu is unproven at the top level, very much like Luis Alberto. Lets give the kids a chance before we all judge.

How do I contradict myself? Suarez wants to leave, his agent is speaking to teams, it's obvious to everyone he's leaving. Whereas Baines and Fellaini are quite as mice, and bar a cheap bid from United for Baines, there's been no hint of a move for either.
Jagielka and Distin or Skrtel and Agger - I'd take Jags+Dist. And I'd definitely take Kone over Aspas.
Anyone who's seen Alberto and Deulofeu play will know that Deulofeu is the better talent and player, he's progressed throughout the Spanish youth systems consistently and, let's not forget, scored more goals than Alberto last season playing for the same Barca B team. And Everton didn't have to spend a penny to get him either, that's smart business.

Sound...your opinion. But lets remeber Deulofeu is on loan we actually own Alberto
Luis Alberto Apps 38 Goals 11 Assists 18
Gerard Deulofeu Apps 33 Goals 18 Assists 6
Not too much difference in the stats really, Luis Alberto involved in 29 goals Deulofeu 24 goals. Only time will tell who will be better. Bojan and Dos Santos where meant to be the next big things and they have pretty much stagnated.
Kone over Aspas? Take it you havent seen much of Aspas? Has alot more to his game then Kone.

Kone has 13 goals for a struggling Wigan
Aspas scored 12 for a struggling Celta
Id rather have 13 goals in the PL then 12 in La liga just for the PL experience.

Sneijder
Hazard
Now looks like thiago as well (to name a few)
Looks like well never ever get a decent midfielder

Derby results aside I think the last two seasons the table speaks for itself. Everton have finished above Liverpool so I think that gives a pretty strong case that they're the better team on Merseyside
I imagine that would be a bitter pill to swallow, just like for me when City finished above us the other year

Malaga have signed Santa Cruz, happy for him, always rated him and he seemed to have a decent loan spell with them last season.
Also has Wanyama joined Southampton? What a signing for them, as much as i hate to say it, wouldn't rule them out for a top half finish next season.
