Well the season is nearly upon us, with matches starting next weekend, so I thought it was time for a thread for it.

7. Everton
8. Norwich City
9. Swansea

Huth and Shawcross the only proper footballers these days.

Smart finish by Giroud, but in that token poor defending by Fulham.

Great finish by Podolski, but 3-0 is very harsh on Fulham IMO.

Laughable defending by Palace. I think we may hear a Holloway winge in his post match interview, i thought they were denied a pen in the first half, thought Ethrington fouled Joel Ward.

Begovic is sooooooooooooooooooooo good. I think Utd should have gone for him over de Gea because it was pretty much a no-risk signing.

Fantastic win for Liverpool to grind out a victory at a tough place in Villa Park, without playing well.

What a stupid foul by Micheal Turner, keep your hands down basic defending.
Nathan Redmond really does look like a good signing for Norwich.

Put his head in against Russel Martin i think, bit of a stupid thing to do, and could of cost his side big time.

Redmond just needs to improve his decision making. Far far too inconsistent. Like once today we had 5 guys in the box, he beat his man and instead of crossing he dragged a shot wide. There you need to cross. Hopefully it'll come with experience.

Could not have summed up Newcastle more in that last chance. Closest they came was a misdirected cross, and then the miss after was awful. If only we had Carroll today. Might have at least made the game interesting. Least Rav got on

Seriously hope Hughton isn't gonna play Fer in the No 10 role, with Howson in CM this season. Fer needs to be box to box, and Howson is so much more effective advanced. Waste of both's talents.
It kills me seeing Bradley Johnson start and David Fox not even involved

I was only commenting on the highlights, the full game might have been much different, all three goals were the kind of thing you expect to see in the lower leagues, no power in the shots as they dribble in after a struggle in the box.mystiroakey wrote:^allways going for the little digs!Crimey wrote:The Stoke-Palace highlights were like something from League 1!

Its gonna be a tough ride for us eagles. Even when we play well for our ability we are going to get slated . Its not our fault we got up. The game was deffo high level championship yesterday.. we cant do much more yet..
there are positives though. But still if we get 35 pts i will be happy. We just need to be stronger for the start of next year. Get back up and push on in 2 to 4 years . We have a mid table pl team in us.. but its not going to happen straight away.

Southampton - Best player on the pitch seemed to be Ward-Prowse from the highlights. All their best work came from his set pieces or him hitting it into Lambert.

They have had to buy the majority of those players now or got rid dude.. Holloway and co made sure teams like watford couldn't play this loophole anymore!
they are only allowed 5 overseas loan players now(not the 14 they used to have!!!!)

when they played us last season in the 2-2 draw.
8 of they starters were loan players
only one of which counted to there loan quota!! it truly was ridiculous- And holloway spoke his mind - In the end the FA listened and the clubs voted against this ludicrous loop hole that treats overseas loan players as full transfers!!
