If anyone can come on here and state Utd are equal to City then they are delusional.

Great goal by Negredo. Out of all of City's summer signings, he has been the stand out IMO. Jovetic remains the pointless one.

Embarrassing for United. No creativity in the centre of the midfield, and the wide players are ineffective. Rooney is the only one looking like creating anything. The defence is in pieces (bar Vidic), and City are tearing them to shreds.

A couple of weeks ago I was laughed at for daring to suggest Utd were below City and Chelsea for quality of the squads. Do those that questioned mine and Crimeys view wish to reconsider their view now?

United fans actually believed this? It was my view even last season. United will be languishing at 9th in the table if it remains like this. Level with Swansea, Hull and Newcastle on points. Arsenal lead the way!

Care to expand on that Nick. Uniteds squad has been average for a while. SAF made the big difference last season, while City and Chelsea implodedNickisBHAFC wrote:That is just pure stupid. Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
Be silly to write off United's season after this. Must remember when they lost 6-1 a couple of seasons ago, they only lost the title on GD.
Today, City have played out of their skins, whereas United have been as poor as they can be.
Any one of Chelsea, City, and United can win the title, but I wouldn't rule out Arsenal, and maybe Tottenham can still shock English football by pulling off mission improbable.
And a goal for Rooney, he deserves that.

Yes RVP was the difference. But United still proved to the best side. They just looked a lot better than all of the other big sides. They won the league with ease. To say they were average is just stupid.GSC wrote:Care to expand on that Nick. Uniteds squad has been average for a while. I said their squad was average. They played above themselves while the rest of the big sides played below. I also doubted they could rely on that remaining the status quo, which is why they needed to clear some deadwood and sign some genuine quality.

Most have predicted they will finish out of the top 4!
Now ok they may have a shot at sneaking in but i don't think many rated them above city or chelsea pre season(bar hardcore fans)

Gunnarsson should have scored for Cardiff. Wont even go there on the Lloris handball which should have been a sending off. Spurs took their chance though. Thats what its all about at this level. 0-0 would have been a fair result

United had 59% of the ball according to the BBC. Didn't do enough with it though - no creativity in the midfield.

Late drama as Welsh side Cardiff lose to English side, Tottenham. Big result for the English side who now sit 2nd in the English premier league.

Kompany and Yaya today proved how good they are. I feel for Carrick and Fellaini today. They had one player worth passing to other than each other and that was Rooney

Yes although the English side Tottenham who beat the Welsh side Cardiff today did not look to have the class as the English side Arsenal who beat another English side Stoke to now top the English premier leagueLumbering_Jack wrote:Late drama as Welsh side Cardiff lose to English side, Tottenham.
