Luis Enrique. Versatile, dynamic, and interesting. I always remember Pep Guardiola as being like Sergio Busquets, the boring 'water carrier' like Deschamps who never did anything pretty but had a good rep regardless.

George Weah or Didier Drogba?

George Weah. He edges Drogba thanks to THAT goal against Verona.

Alan Shearer or Miroslav Klose?

Alan Shearer. Not seen a better striker in my lifetime. Could hurt you from anywhere, had a rocket of a shot, and you just couldn't stop him. If he played now he'd be worth more than Bale + Ronaldo combined.

Jens Lehmann or Bodo Illgner?

 

Wow Azzy. You're not related to Alan Shearer by any chance? Worth +£160m??  

Anyway, I'll go for Illgner. I liked Lehmann, but think his cult reputation was down more to the fact he was bonkers.

Cassano or Recoba?

The guy was good for 30 goals a season, scored tons for England, imagine a guy like that with the consistency. He'd score more than Messi if he played for Bayern.

Alvaro Recoba. Besides being ace and having cool hair, he was a fantastic talent, scored wonder goals for fun, and was always good on Champ Man. I've never really liked Cassano, he's a 'boring' striker who never seems to put effort in.

Mattias Sammer or Steffen Effenberg?

Sammer by some distance, real Rolls Royce of a player and a far better professional than Effenberg.

Juninho (ex Boro and Atletico Madrid) or Juninho (ex Lyon)

Juninho (ex Boro). Mesmerising to watch, a real zest for the game. The other Juninho might have been the better player, but I'd rather have little Juninho in my side.

Enzo Scifo or Eden Hazard?

Scifo, great technician. Hazard will probably be greater, but I think the best is yet to come from him.

Djorkaeff. Okocha was a great entertainer but Youri was amongst the very best during his time.

Raul wow what a player probably the most intelligent striker I've ever seen, if I was a manager I'd tell my striker to watch videos of Raul all day and night. He has showed that you never have to be the quickest, strongest athletic to be a footballer which sadly football is turning into. I'll never forgive Real Madrid for the way they treated him when he left them.

Javier Zanetti or Phillip Lahm?

Tough choice, Zanetti just edges as he proved himself as an accomplished holding mid as well as full back. In twelve months time Lahm might get my vote if he continues to excel in the role at Bayern.

Neymar , i think they are both overated at present as neither has done it on the big stage yet

Pele. Second best player to ever play the game/

Zamarano, better all-round player and showed a real passion for playing for his country.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Andros Townsend?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain , not much between them but the Ox has a season more experience at the top level

Ian Rush or Gary Lineker ?

Rush. More consistent, didn't realise that playing abroad would be like playing in another country

Plus, if we add in their post-playing career achievements, then Rush wins hands down due to him not being a boring, moaning p155ypants.

Maldini. Better looking, more stylish, read the game just as well. Those eyes

Sir Trevor Brooking. An England legend at a time when there weren't very many candidates for it.

Ronnie Johnsen , i thought he was a good defender just had Bruce and Pallister in his way

Steve Bould or Martin Keown ( as Tony Adams defensive partner ) ?

Martin Keown. I watched both plenty of times, but Keown had the pace to cover for Big Tone, and was a better foil for him. Bouldy was like a lesser-good version of Tony. Despite that chip through for Tony's goal against Everton in 98, which was one of the best goals of all time!

Cyrille Regis or Steve Bull?

Cyrille Regis , He was a monster of of a forward he must of been a nightmare to try and mark with that strength and pace . Bull was though underrated for me and would of scored goals at a bigger club .

Platini or Zidane ?

Platini. You're talking to a guy who saw Zidane play c.100 times, yet never saw 1/10th of the quality that others rave about. Most over-rated footballer in the history of the game, probably in any sport in the whole world come to think of it. Platini was the complete package on the pitch, I just wish he would use his noggin nowadays.

Ricardo Quaresma or Joaquin?

Joaquin , saw more of him watching spanish football . But i do think both could of been bigger players then they are/were as both had very good technical ability .

Hristo Stoichkov or Deco ?

Stoichkov, performed better consistently over a long period of time. Deco never lived up to his Porto form at Barca and Chelsea.

Frank de Boer or Ronald de Boer?

Frank de Boer. World-class CB, real quality about him. Ronald was good but never in the same league as Frank.

Jan Wouters or Franky van der Elst?

Franky van der Elst was a star player for Belgium when they didn't have many plus can't vote for Wouters after his elbow on Gazza .

Romelu Lukaku or Christian Benteke ?

Lukaku. I think Benteke might have reached his potential already, but Lukaku's recent performances for Belgium show that the lad is improving every time internationals come around. Plus, he has better hair.

Packie Bonner or Andy Goram?

tough one the Celtic fan in me says Packie but i think Goram was probably the better allround keeper

Manuel Neuer or Oliver Khan ?

Oliver Khan. Neuer is boring, Khan was one of the old guard of keepers, slightly flamboyant, great hair, didn't look good but performed amazingly well, played on til he was 78 too. Maybe in 15 years time we can revisit that one.

Emre or Rob Lee?

Rob Lee , one of my favourite footballers solid team player who put in a shift nearly every game i saw him play , the thing i like about him was he didn't think he was pele so did the things he could do to the best of his ability

Joey Beauchamp or Marco Boogers ?

Marco Boogers. Lived in a caravan. Beauchamp lived in Oxford.

Ludo Miklosko or Shaka Hislop?

Shaka Hislop underated keeper

Tony Cottee or Kevin Phillips ?

Super Kevin Phillips! Albion legend! Cottee was okay but was never as clinical as Super Kev.

Robert Prosinecki or Dejan Stankovic?

Prosinecki, supremely talented. I saw him play against England in 95, took a fag break while someone was injured, but was still the best player on the park.

Rudi Voller or Frank Rijkaard?

Frank Rijkaard , can't vote for Rudi after he grebbed in Franks hair

Gianluca Vialli or Denílson ?

You've got it the wrong way round Kenny, Rijkaard gobbed on Voller.

Go for Vialli in this one as more consistent than Denilson.

Sami Khedira or Sergio Busquets?

Sami Khedira all day long, though Busquets is harshly treated on footballing ability cos he's technically very good just rolls about a lot.

Robert Lewandowski or Mario Mandzukic?

Sami Khedira i really like him as a player think he would do well in the Premier league , Busquets is good aswell but Khedira just shades it for me as he can get you a goal aswell .
