First topic message reminder :

Four days left of the transfer window and still Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle still aren't moving quickly. The Bale deal still hasn't gone through, there is still speculation that Real Madrid may go back in for Suarez and Arsenal could break the transfer record. Tottenham have also decided to sign everybody.

Available at the moment seems to be a list of the players who were the best in the world five years ago:

Kaka
Fernando Torres
Samuel Eto'o (until yesterday)

Apparently Arsenal offered 140k euros a week while United offered 100k.

Being made to look cheap by Arsene?

Rooney has problems at the moment. It could be Rooney at CM (or Fellaini I suppose) with Ozil behind RVP?

Apparently Real Madrid will be making a deadline day bid for Suarez...if that's true then that's ridiculous.

Wouldn't be too bothered if united missed out on ozil, lot of money for a guy who plays a position we don't really use in our formation.

I'd be very surprised if Fellaini doesn't end up at Utd, and I think Baines probably wants to go too, but Utd aren't as desperate for him, and Everton will probs find it harder to replace him

He's not a winger or traditional centre mid though is he.

Very good player but not sure where he would fit in.

Man City: Toure, Navas, Fernandindho, Silva, Nasri, Rodwell, Garcia
Chelsea: Mata, Hazard, Lampard, van Ginkel, Willian, de Bruyne, Ramires, Essien, Mikel
Spurs: Eriksen, Paulinho, Holtby, Lamela, Dembele, Capoue, Sandro, Chadli, Sigurddson
Arsenal: Ozil, Cazorla, Arteta, Wilshere, Walcott, Diaby, Ramsey
Utd: Carrick, Cleverley, Young, Valencia, Nani, Giggs, Zaha, Kagawa

If Moyes thinks those midfield players compare with his rivals then he's delusional.

It's quite clear he doesn't, by the alleged bids, but he's not gonna come out in public and say his midfield are sh1te, that'd be poor man management

Whilst the Ozil signing would be good, seems a little weird that Arsene has pursued a striker all window and is now chucking the big money at a player who isn't really "needed"

Real Madrid now saying they have not paid a world record fee. 91m Euros? Appeasing ronaldo`s ego, there not stupid. Not sure they truth will come out on the deals details. £42.5m for ozil is stupid, hence why united aren't interested.

The best assists in Europe. A genuine WC level player. A player of his quality becomes available very rarely and even if your system doesn't fit him, then you fit your team to him.

Assisting Ronaldo, higuain & benzema. Like to see him match those stats servicing giroud.

Yeah, ozils a good player but arsenal need a difference maker up front, especially in Europe.

If Kagawa leaves I'll be gutted. Lovely little player to watch, good to have in this league. Cant see United getting rid though, he wasnt brought in a few years ago and flopped, one year and United build for years with these players.

Ozil would be too good to miss for both sides, fit in or not. If you can play Young and Valencia in a United side that has Rooney and RVP, then you can sacrifice natural width for Ozil (and bloody Kagawa!).

Similar thing applies to Arsenal. Quality just outdoes specific system.

Kaka off to AC milan for free ? Good deal for Milan considering they got 68mil euros for him 4 years ago.

Telegraph are saying Ozil, Di Maria and Hernandez (Abel) all chased by Arsenal. Not sure what they do if they sign them, dont need both Ozil and Di Maria, whilst Hernandez would be a good back up, possible first teamer if he can get his potential and turn it into reality.

Viviano would be a decent move, loan or not, cracking keeper, although I wish they would just do what Spurs have done and buy a keeper who is in his prime.

Telegraph also convinced that Quagliarella is the player coming to West Ham. £300k loan fee. Silkman (who has dealings with us) is reportedly on a plane with a player coming over to London.

Could Quagliarella finally sign for us after more than 3 years of window's linked with us?! Can he finally leave Juve so that he isnt linked to EVERY middling English club?

It makes me sad that Real Madrid buy Bale for a world record fee but are happy to let Ozil go, I'd rather have Ozil every day of the week. Bale has only just broken double figures in goals last year in the league for the first time. He's nowhere near the level Ronaldo was when he moved, and Ronaldo only got better. I can't see Bale justifying the price tag, he may make it up through shirt sales and merchandising etc. but the same could be said if they spent less on him or bought a less expensive player. Ronaldo just about justifies the price tag by scoring a goal a game on average, I can't see Bale hitting those heights.

Also £300k a week is absolutely ridiculous, I think that's more than Messi!
