2013 Summer Transfer Window Thread is continued...again
First topic message reminder :
Four days left of the transfer window and still Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle still aren't moving quickly. The Bale deal still hasn't gone through, there is still speculation that Real Madrid may go back in for Suarez and Arsenal could break the transfer record. Tottenham have also decided to sign everybody.
Available at the moment seems to be a list of the players who were the best in the world five years ago:
Kaka
Fernando Torres
Samuel Eto'o (until yesterday)

Does Fellaini count as a panic buy?
Since United are going to be paying more than his release fee that ran out earlier in the window?

Then wouldn't it have been prudent to sign him before the season for a cheaper fee no?

Ozil will be a brilliant signing for Arsenal if they can get it through in time.

Yes, it would have, but that still doesn't make it a panic buy. Just inept transfer market dealings.GSC wrote:Then wouldn't it have been prudent to sign him before the season for a cheaper fee no?

So United didn't want him at a cheaper fee, but suddenly do at a higher fee on the deadline.

No, they wanted him for as cheap as possible and hoped they'd flush out a transfer request or Evertonian capitulation. They guaged it spectacularly wrong and now have to pay more than his release clause or his worth to get him.GSC wrote:So United didn't want him at a cheaper fee, but suddenly do at a higher fee on the deadline.

Arsenal have made an enq for Demba Ba.
He would be good to sit on the bench for Arsenal tbh, would be a good signing.

we've been a joke this window, someone should get sacked over the fellani farce. beyond stupid
moyes isnt helping himself so far, giggs on right wing yesterday has to be one of his most stupid decisions. i didnt really want him in the first place but now weve got him we have to back him and let him build a team of his own. most united fans have known we need strengthening but overachieved last season due to fergie and rvp
why the hell were not in for ozil i dont know, and we have to start giving kagawa a game!!

moyes is doing himself no favours with that either, he's clearly one of our best technical players. but he's been wheeling out a 40 year old instead!TopHat24/7 wrote:Think #freekagawa was even trending at one point yesterday.....compelling and rich wrote:we've been a joke this window, someone should get sacked over the fellani farce. beyond stupid

Feilani and Herrera would make me rather happy, wouldn't have been my first choices but gives us some much need quality in the centre of the park and a good bit of variety.
Kagawa, Rooney and Van Persie seemed to be building up a good understanding at the beginning of last season before he got injured, Moyes has to start using him. With those three starting we go from having no cutting edge to having two very creative players.

Judges rate him as a player who will be worth that fee in a year or two time. And he is a player who destroyed them a couple years ago. They've got the money, they like buying young players, its typical United really.Azzy Mahmood wrote:Desperate idiots. Moyes is so far out of his depth it's not even funny

What judges? All reports I've read place Isco and Illarramendi far, far ahead of Herrera. United are only signing him because there is no-one left to sign, not because he's been their target for 18 months.Dolphin Ziggler wrote:Judges rate him as a player who will be worth that fee in a year or two time.
