Wonder what odds you could get on Moyes to be sacked first. Think he is a little out of his depth.

Whilshere is a huge worry for England. No Rooney as well. World cup qualifying could look bleek next week.
Since Arsenal got there undeserved goal, its been all them. AVB going to needs to give Tottenham a kick up the backside.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
"Liverpool defender Glen Johnson left Anfield on crutches after limping off in the win against Manchester United - and manager Brendan Rodgers revealed match-winner Daniel Sturridge will also have to be assessed.
"Sturridge was a doubt before the game with a thigh injury and Rodgers said: "He has struggled in the last couple of games and we need to think of Liverpool first."
WOW! Well think it's safe to assume add Johnson to the England injury list...and by the looks of it Sturridge too! If Rodgers was that concerned with Daniel's struggles in the last couple of games why play him here!?
I'm starting to think that England players should be given centralised contracts similar to that of the cricket team...however ensure that strict things are enlisted in it. Getting fed up of the national team being 2nd to clubs. If the players don't want to sign it then they don't play simple!
How many times are the FA going to sit and watch as clubs pull their players from England squads with sudden injuries only to turn up and play the following week.
Rooney...head injury..Moyes states he will be out for couple of weeks...funnily enough the amount of time the 'international break' lasts.
No Oxlade, No Johnson, No Rooney, No Sturridge perhaps, No Wilshere,
I actually hope England fail to qualify for the World Cup...it would act as the catalyst for everyone involved to pull their fingers out of their backsides and either commit to making England a force at International level or just admitting that the Premier League comes first!

AVB has two modes. Plan A is first and when it fails he goes to Plan A 2.0 which is remarkably similar to Plan A.NickisBHAFC wrote:Whilshere is a huge worry for England. No Rooney as well. World cup qualifying could look bleek next week.

I don't know why you're that bothered ozzy, the international game isn't anywhere near as interesting as the national game. I'd rather Sturridge played for Liverpool today then England in the break. Of course Rodgers is going to play his best striker in a big game if he can, he's not there to protect England's interests and I don't think anybody should expect him to be.
For me, the international game is dying, and I'm not that bothered. The games in general tend to be a lot less exciting and more disjointed than those at club level and I don't think most players or fans have the same passion for England as they do for their clubs.
I would rather Liverpool won the Premier League/Champions League as opposed to England winning the World Cup.

I'm not interested in the easier games as much. Other peoples attitudes put me off too, like England owe them something with performances. But I care for our qualification and I care about the tournaments. I cared when we beat Scotland.

Biggest TV deal ever for the EPL worth billions and the football gets worse. shocking entertainment and no real quality in either game. So tight the EPL now, margins getting smaller. Lowest amount of goals awsell.
Capoue looks like ligaments, could be months. Knew spurs players would find it difficult to adjust early on.

They look a team likely to challenge for top 4, that's it. Players don't have the understanding, experience of the league and looked like strangers playing together. Will take time under AVB but there certainly not title challengers, even though they've spent massively. Bale is a huge miss.
I'm just hoping the quality of the games pick up after the international break. Dire so far.

Theres nobody in the side with the spark to open up sides. Lamela and Eriksen absolutely have to hit the ground running, and thats difficult enough joining a settled side.

Liverpool end the only team to stay 100% after 3 games, which is as good a start as any fan could have asked for, three clean sheets as well, Daniel Sturridge hitting the ground running.
John, I wouldn't be so quick to judge the season, last year was a goal fest, don't think you can draw anything from these first few games, think it's inevitable we'll see a lot more goals as the season progresses.

Arsenal will have loved that. Not just because of the win, but the fact they dug in in a game and ground out the win. Thats massive for Arsenal, its exactly what they miss from their team. Counter attacked well, looked quite a bit better than Spurs too.

I can't see them selling to us personally especially with Maureen at the helm of the SS The Best Team Lost.
Quite happy with that Viviano though he's a quality keeper, surprised their letting us have him if goes through.
I keep hearing things about Julian Draxler but 40m is a lot for someone his age.

I doubt we'll bring anyone in tomorrow, maybe a loan, could probably do with a CB as we lack depth there, and knowing us, we'll lose Bassong to injury on the 3rd Sept, it's just what we do.

Mata would be insanely good. Will Arsenal go over the £50m that Nando bet me they would pass?
Interesting part of that game was how Tottenham look to set up in basic formation terms. AVB prefers a 4-3-3, but if they dont get the balance right in the middle they will lack a creative spark. Do they want two of Dembele, Capoue, Sandro and Paulinho behind Eriksen, Lamela and Townsend/Chadli/Lennon or 3 of those 4 behind two wider men.

I hope for Spurs's sake AVB doesn't persist with the midfield three from today. Not enough creativity in there, enough physical presence though, some proper unitsDolphin Ziggler wrote:Mata would be insanely good. Will Arsenal go over the £50m that Nando bet me they would pass?
