Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 1: Toulon v Glasgow Warriors
Telling it as it is, the score line says it all, a team full of world cup winners v Scottish Internationals! This game only has one winner.TJ wrote:Should you not be at school? Oh its sunday? what is the point of thjis childish post? Just to wind folk up? classyDeludedOptimistorjustDave wrote:Did Glasgow ever stand a chance?
NO!
Plain and simple, all they have done is caught a few Pro12 teams cold at the start of the season then all of a sudden shoe in for HC glory!
Typical Scottish rugby starved of success then a crumb falls their way then it's drinks all round.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 1: Toulon v Glasgow Warriors
Maybe we'll do a Cardiff and stage a big 4 try bonus point claiming rally in the second half..?
Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 1: Toulon v Glasgow Warriors
Yes Dewi they are current top of the Rabo table but that don't mean jack because they ain't won it! EVER.
If this was Leinster,Ospreys or Munster getting hammered then you might of had a point.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 1: Toulon v Glasgow Warriors
To be fair they havent been playing near that level in the T14 so far. They must had been resting their players
I have a funny feeling when watching them... Not really consider them as a french club anymore so Notch analogy of barbarians is pretty good. Specially as they are probably way better than our own national team!
Habana on the bench saying he's happy with what he's seing so far ...

Another decision not going Glasgows way tho - toulon player straight in the side but wins a penalty. glasgow have to wise up and get a grip on the breakdowns. Dunno what can be done with the scrums - but we are getting driven back every time. Lucky not to have more pens against at the scrum

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 1: Toulon v Glasgow Warriors
Turned the match on about 15 minutes ago. What a drubbing.
Looking at this Toulon team, the forward pack doesn't have any show ponies. All of these guys are tough, hard-bitten players. Even if they are a bit older or slower, they play hard, physical and smart. Tough, tough team.
Hoping Jonny is OK.

It was a terrible decision to start with Pyrgos at 9 and Swinson at 6 to begin with.
Tanking the game?

Think I should stop watching. I left the Blues game at half time and they made a comeback, maybe I can do the same for Glasgow.

Glasgow need to toughen up at the breakdown. Toulon have their hands everywhere. If the ref isn't going ref the breakdown someone will have to

21 points in 20 minutes, I don't know many other teams who'd do that to the Euro champions. Also we're getting towards the end of the game and Matawalu will get more space from the pensioners

Wow
Seriously impressed with this effort from Glasgow
Stunned in the first half, but now they are showing why they are top of the pro12

How on earth does the ref think that Toulon player was supporting his own weight.

A single point from this game will still be impressive - I just hope Glasgow can keep it below 50

Feel like this is some déjà vu from the Exeter Blues game

Toulon switched off let Glasgow get a try bonus point, that will hurt them.

Apparently Glasgow are a rubbish Rabo team who shouldnt be playing in Europe
In all seriousness though I do think Toulon are guilty of having taken their foot off the pedal, however Glasgow have been better at the breakdown, quicker ball and Matawalu can play more!
