It's baffling that Edinburgh have had such a poor start in the Pro12 with the squad they have. They've made some smart signings for this season and have internationals like Denton, Visser, LAidlaw, Scott... Just doesn't make sense. Guess they're in the same scenario as Cardiff?

Jack Cuthbert is playing well but his slowness is bordering on comical

Munster aren't going to be this bad all game - we need to get as many points as we can just now

Wonder of Conor Murray knows he left a big blob of V05 styling wax on the side of his head? Looks silly...

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Strong Edinburgh scrum - quite happy with only 3 points having messed up the restart.
Lucky for Gilchrist there - thought that could be a yellow

Edinburgh actually look like a team for the first time for years. they look dynamic and hungry - not just laidlaw and Denton but everyone.

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
OOooft, trick shot goal kicking from Laidlaw. We get an extra point for it hitting the post and going over yeah?
Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Well according to one of the Beebs radio producers Solomons forgot to bring his accreditation and the Murrayfield stewards wouldn't let him in... Maybe that's why!TJ wrote:Edinburgh actually look like a team for the first time for years. they look dynamic and hungry - not just laidlaw and Denton but everyone.

Crap decision by the ref at the scrum Munster prop was clearly pulling down

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Ref pigned us for some supposed misdemeanor, quick tap free kick and 2 phases later they crashed through
Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Think that was a poor decision from JP, thought it was the Munster loosehead binding underneath the jersey which led to the scrum collapsing twice. Don't blame JP too much as it was on the far side, but how come the AR didn't call it in? Seemed obvious enough.
Anyway soft defence around the fringes again from Edinburgh.

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Lovely to see us spreading the ball wide & running with it rather than just kicking it away aimlessly.
Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Good enterprise being shown by Edinburgh.
A couple of times now they've got up to around the Munster 22 and Munster have given away a cheapish penalty. A couple more times and we should be in YC territory...

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Munster are putting boot to ball a bit too much for my liking - in contrast to the sort of rugby Edinburgh are looking to play.

Not sure what's slower - (a) the formation of a glacial crack; or (b) Cuthbert.

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
De Luca wasn't released there? Surely it should have been a penalty against Munster.

It's kind of mesmerising. It's like watching a lava lamp.George Carlin wrote:Not sure what's slower - (a) the formation of a glacial crack; or (b) Cuthbert.
Anyway, possibly an important missed chance from Munster there.

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Good defence at the end there, to preserve the slender lead. Wonder if Solomons has managed to talk his way inside yet!?
Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Bring on James Cronin and Stander....Kilcoyne is poor in the scrum and only Coughlan is showing in the Backrow...

Re: Edinburgh v Munster HC
Which side can adapt to the ref best? At the breakdown he is allowing the player with the ball a lot of time to release it. Munster forwards are going to have to be wary of a yellow card as well after repeated infringements
Edinburgh must be beginning to believe - they could win this!

Pretty happy with Du Preez - bringing a lot of physicality to the game.
He's not a 7 though!

They need to tighten up, Munster making some easy yards and creating too many chances! Of course that advice could also apply to Munster themselves.TJ wrote:Edinburgh must be beginning to believe - they could win this!
Great attacking play both sides, passive defence- good game to watch.

Aye - gave 'em two soft tries and nearly another. Edinburghs defence looks a lot more aggressive compared to earlier gamesNotch wrote:They need to tighten up, Munster making some easy yards and creating too many chances!
