CF, as a compromise, why dont you give some cash to the guy who got you as manager as you didnt have time to do full results which meant he didnt get his bonus, then everyone is happy?

Can't we learn the lesson and just not keep letting CF do this

Poland drop Boruc for Szczesny, and Lewandowski starts. Gonna be a cracking game if nothing else, and for once English fans care about England because they're nervous! Can't wait to see this game.

Got Lewandowski to score first at 9/1 although more of a punt than a prediction. Arguably the best player on the pitch tonight so 9/1 is a big price!

Dreadful decision to play Smalling over Jones and Carrick over, say, anyone. I fully expected Milner over Welbeck to help Baines deal with Blaszczykowski too.

One long night coming up.

Hart

Jones - Jagielka - Cahill - Baines

Gerrard - Wilshere - Milner

Sturridge - Rooney - Welbeck

Very surprised with Smalling ahead of Jones at RB, can't say I'm surprised Lampard was dropped didn't think he was good against Montenegro.

Time for Carrick to prove the fanboys correct.

The Poland side is fairly poor. There's not much beyond Lewandowski and Kuba and even then Lew hasn't performed for Poland like he does for Dortmund

Smalling does not look comfortable at RB.  There Azzy goes again bashing Carrick before he has kicked a ball but praises the English Park Ji Sung.

We need to move on from the workhorses and players who put in a shift.

England lack a leader at the back, good defenders Jagielka and Cahill but they need a Rio or Terry to stabilise and take control.

Surprise surprise Azzy slates Carrick + other Man United players. Azzy #1Dimensional #1D #TunnelVision

Carrick's been terrible, can't hack it and by 'it' I mean tackling, passing and running on a football pitch. Gerrard is having to carry him and do it for him and by 'it' I mean tackling, passing and physically picking him up to move him around the pitch. Should of left him in the changing room at HT, England would be better off with 10 men than Carrick.

Welbeck & Sturridge have been too wasteful. Both have had a few chances & done nothing.
Andros looks good, can see him taking Lennon's place at club & country. Starting to look better than Walcot.

Anyone want Carrick, he's up for sale.

Laugh

People like Azzy are the type that spend most their time making their Uni assignment look creative with the borders and fonts eyecatching basically.  If a player is not doing 2 billion stopovers or the  Ronaldo job he is useless according to Azzy.

Azzy fails to recognise that Carrick job is to protect the back four he is not a diving in both feet with slide tackle type of who wants to look good in front of the cameras.  He is a very smart and intelligent player who reads the game well and intercepts danger hence the high rate of interception.  He keeps possession well and looks to move it forward for the more attacking players. He goes and and does his job quietly without much fuss and whoring himself to the papers like some England players.  Players like Carrick are too technical for England's nethandral style of play and they would be better of playing Parker so Azzy and his chums can watch an all action headless chicken kicking players.

I would take Carrick in a heartbeat Mr furious and I'd be willing to pay over the odds but because Azzy has created a hate campaign propaganda against Carrick and has brain washed the rest with his fairy tales and myths like Piers Morgan does I have to refuse.  Azzy has tarnished Carrick name but is the first to jump in the line of fire for donkey James Miller saying he should play for England.  Is that what you lot want honest boring hardworking committed players.

Hodgson alongside many of the boot licking England managers in the past have bowed down to the media pressures and stick to the failed and unworkable Gerrard and Lampard system. Don't get me wrong I rate them two highly and in their pomp were top players who could hold their own against any player but the fact is they don't work but the stupid English managers with no backbone still play them.

I lke Carrick but that was happening when Carrick was on the pitch and the Poles were going through them too easily. That is why Carrick was taken off because he was no longer doing his job. It was him or Gerrard and Gerrard needed to stay on to score the second goal

Carrick came on for England on the 65m against Montegro.

Nando that is a valid question and I will reply,  Welbz has been on a good goal scoring record for England lately and I'm sure anyone would take a workhorse who gets goal but if he plays like he has did today then he deserves to be dropped.

Afro I feel my post was very fair.

Nice goal Gerrard.

I do the odd wum here and there but if a United player is not playing well I will say it. It has nothing to do with what club you play for.  I think Ash Cole has been a wonderful servant for England a fine fine defender and one of the best fullbacks for club and country and one of the few England players who can retire knowing he played good for us.

Yes it was there and I won't dare arguing that you're wrong but you can't expect Carrick to do it all on his own just like you can't expect Cahill to stop the ball going in on his own.  It seemed worse when Carrick went off.  Afro you're a sensible man and won't get swayed by Mahmood and Co's lies.

Sodhat and below are too young to remember France 98 but I do and I'm sure Afro and Hero will tell you the sickening and undeserved criticism Beckham took after Argentina was wrong and disgusting.

An I know that Azzy Mahmood was the ring leader of burning effigies of Beckham and chanting such nasty songs.  I can guarantee that he was also the first one to celebrate Beckham goal against Greece and pretending like nothing happened.

Nah, its 60/40 ish. Only really me, viva, trebs & you who appreciate what he does.

If you don't score goals (attackers), assist them (attackers/attacking mids/), prevent them (keepers or centre backs) or are not Spanish you get ignored. Most people don't appreciate how good Makelele was. Someone last week had the nerve to question how good Zidane was!!
Some people hear are happy to use the comparison of Carrick to Xavi or Carrick to Pirlo to put him down but you wont see them compare Walcott to El Shaarawy or Jack Wilshere to Isco as it wont help them make a point.

Welbeck is probably playing because we have no other half decent left winger. Unless you prefer Ashley Young playing LW.

I don't mind Welbeck, if only he could add a finish to his game he'd be class

Didn't Olly say yes to dating a tranny.

Just for the record I don't watch shows like big brother or the only way is Essex. I only found out recently that TOWIE stands for The Only Way is Essex.

Infact I thought they were two completely different shows.

Nicely said Nick about comparing Wilshere to the likes of Isco/Pogba.

So instead of Gerrard dropping back a bit to assist him Woys solution was to take Carrick off for Lamps & get both Gerrard & Lamps to sit back. Gerrard got forward twice after Lamps came on, once was to take a corner & the other for the goal. Everyone knows Gerrard is dangerous up the field & more effective.
Lamps is the same mould of player. They have never worked together well in what, 8-10 years for England? They cant now. They cant work together in tandem as a double pivot as their not on that type of wavelength with each other + as they are getting older those bursting runs to get forward then back into position get harder.
Woy wanted to tighten it up, fair enough. I felt Welbeck would of been better to take off & bring on the energetic Barkley- so carrick would either have him of Gerrard alongside & Sturridge & Rooney had support from the other.

Said before & ill say it again, Welback & Sturridge both wasteful today. Welbeck tried hard but lacks a true strikers instinct. Sturridge tried too hard to be the big man, top dawg, show stopper, several times he should of been passing but instead he wants to try take 1/2 mans on & just shoot from where ever. Two shots he had on target were just power shots right at the keeper, needs more composure to pick a placed finish & a bit more team play IMO & he would then have the potential to become an extremely deadly attacker a top elite club would want.
