Actually what's happening is Viva's starting his own supermarket, so he doesn't have to pay over the odds. Problem is, the other supermarkets have a stranglehold on the good products from the farmers and companies like Cadburys, so he's going to be left with turds on his shelves.

These aren't like the pretend manager games of old. Because they are based on TM values players now have base values that you have to work with when doing deals. There isn't any room for how highly you rate players these days, as a minimum you have to go by TM values.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
It's basic economics really
How much is someone worth? A combination of whatever they can get for them and how much it would cost to replace them.
What can they get for them? - lawyers equivalent if they are lucky. The risk of not getting a lawyers offer brings it down a little, but no more than TM value as that is the cost of replacing them essentially, and therefore the point that it becomes a better value to keep them.
The game has moved on with the use of TM values. It's a modern version of pretend managers, but Viva is still stuck in the hoofball era of 3 years ago

Re: Euro Division LXVII
I don't agree with TM there is so much else that it fails to take note of. Some players are worth lot more than TM value, why is Marky wanting 15m for Totti when his TM value is 875k.
If I really wanted a player I'd pay the money, I've paid 30m for Mongolian and 22m for Pablo Hernandez in the past. I have no issue spending money on the right player but I won't be forced to deal and pressured by other pretend managers who would do the same. There is no value in the local market and I'd much rather my money go into foreign hands knowing that it can't be used by the locals.
Re: Euro Division LXVII
You are right Viva, except you are ignoring the selling club's perspective and why they ask those prices. Because the TM value is kind of the minimum they are going to get
And Marky's example is where he is putting it above TM value. It's not quite the same as selling below TM value is it.
But sending cash of the league is a sound principle, although don't expect that to mean you are getting better value for money than paying TM value for someone in the league

It's like always picking the same numbers on the lottery, you know the week you stop picking those numbers it's guaranteed to come up with those numbers.

His TM is 17.5m so he'd get (eventually) a lawyer offer of 19.5m, I'd probably accept 16m.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
I'm a nice guy and have been very patient with CF. Last week I informed him off our game that needs to be rearranged for the 17th of October. He has been on this site many times during my post on his page and he has even posted as well.
I don't like it when people do that at least have the courtesy to reply to what I said. I'll be handing in tactics and if CF does or does not I don't care at all. Thank you

Every toy comes with a free Frogurt!
That's bad.
But it comes with a choice of three toppings!
That's good!
The toppings are made from sodium benzoate.

It's called the Viva principle where you don't pay a premium and pay under TM value if that is what you value them at.

I'd argue it's also called this;
Transfers that are stacked heavily in one party's favour may be reviewed by the runners and cancelled if it is held that it is unfair for it to stand.

His TM value is £44m. £40m is hardly heavily stacked in anyone's favoured.

It's a Halloween one, where Homer forgets Bart's birthday and buys this Krusty doll that tries to kill him because he's set to "Evil".Zinedine_Ze_Zebra wrote: Simpsons when Homer is in that strange mystical shop. If Viva is stupid enough to sell Neymar for £40m, I say we let him. However I know he's a sly old fox, so there's no chance Uncle Afro pulls a swift one.

Au contraire. A title rival signing someone for £10m cheaper than the seller would get normally would be unfair to the rest of us.Afro wrote:His TM value is £44m. £40m is hardly heavily stacked in anyone's favoured.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
In all seriousness, why would Viva accept £40m for a player when he has an offer of £50m on the table from Lawyers? If he's so serious about making Basel a great team, he should be looking at taking the biggest offer.

BOOM thats the one. I knew it was a Halloween one. Oh I do love the Simpsons. I did my media studies coursework on The Simpsons, my teacher loved it, said it was a great topic to use as it contains all aspects of real life. Azzy is at liberty to deal with who he likes. You can't rig votes however, that will be spotted and isn't allowed.

I can see it now, Viva confirms deals from TM but says 'I ain't payin' that', so takes 50% off
