City too good in attack. If only we had Carroll

Just seen this little quote from a while back. Manchester United boss David Moyes has tipped Danny Welbeck to become a '20-goal-a-season' striker.
This man is clueless
Must admit, thoroughly enjoying this match & Manchester City really showcasing some real quality today & more importantly, away from home.
@Olly - agree about the 'hit & hope' discussion regarding Cabaye's goal. It was the kind of thing I had to put with on here earlier today. Embarrassing.

I get Paul's point. There is always a hit and hope aspect to a long shot, I think his point was about how it wasn't a goal where Liverpool were broken down and beaten but one that on another day could have flown wide.

Ahhh well, City were damn good in attack. Silva and Aguero are class acts. Going up against a team like that without our focal point and giving them a real fight, happy enough with that. With Carroll in that team I think we could have been a lot for them to handle cos I dont think Javi Garcia and Nastasic are good enough to stop him. Well played West Ham, but they are just a very good side.

The game this week in the Champions League should be a belter, Arsenal v Dortmund.

Should be a cracking game, although Dortmund's defeat in Napoli will probably make them slightly more nervous going into the game, wanting to avoid a second defeat. The game should also reveal why Lewandowski is a 1 goal in 3 games man for Poland & basically a 1 in 1.8/1.9 man for Dortmund. The difference makers around him should be entertaining to watch & Flamini will certainly be tested.

Yes this would be more impressive if said games weren't Norwich and Cardiff #justgoingbyyourlogicCFCNick wrote:@chelseayouth: Jose Mourinho has subbed his left-back for a forward with the score 1-1 in each of his last two games. Won them both 3-1 and 4-1.

Arsenal on this form need to forget about the opposition completely and just play there own game.
However it should be a good one..Unless dortmund really go on the defensive. Which in all fairness they might do

Norwich fans really annoying me.
We're right in the game at 2-1, Hughton makes the attacking change, and we get opened up on the counter a few times, on another day who knows we might have got something.
I swear some of them would moan if we won 5-0 every week.

Exactly, make the attacking change & go for the draw, what's to lose? Yeah, you might get opened up but at least you went for the point instead of sitting back, achieving nothing & just saving your goal difference. Weren't even expected to gain anything from the game anyway.
I just get the impression, alot of Norwich fans are already looking past Hughton & wanting someone else in.

We didn't play too badly today either, or against Chelsea. In fact for large parts of those games, we have been on top. We just haven't taken our chances/had the bit of luck you need to get something off these sides.John wrote:Exactly, make the attacking change & go for the draw, what's to lose? The one thing which really annoys me is how with these fans it's viewed as "little old Norwich" mentality by praising the other side! Well wake up sometimes when the top teams play well, we're not gonna be able to live with them! It's not a mentality thing, it's a fact!! Eugh so annoying.
Anyways Cardiff at home next week, need to win that really

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
I thought Norwich did ok in spells, particularly at the end of the first half, beginning of the second. Ruddy was excellent, made three or four quality saves including a world-class one from Giroud.
To be fair, Arsenal's first three goals were of the highest quality. Ramsey's was one of the best I've seen live.

Yeah I couldn't believe some of the football I was watching, just running rings round us.
And was good to see Ruddy back to pre-injury form. Hopefully will keep it up, was disappointed by Hooper.

Giroud hits it behind Wilshire, he flicks a leg to try and control it and it goes back to giroud - a fluke.

Why are the cameras on these Arsenal goals zoomed in close and why does it look like they're playing on what looks like a FIFA 12 hazy summer evening in Spain?

Meh open your eyes, why on earth would giroud have purposely hit it behind Wilshire, or why would he have hit is back to him when he was through on goal if he controlled it.
Arsenal love in full flow I see.

I'm going with Chelsea. Though I hope it stays competitive right until the end.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
United are gone in my opinion, YES, i'm stating it now.....I think Ent will agree. Just nothing there to change my mind, RVP can't save that side & there's just too many issues defensively & with Fellaini in the middle to be serious contenders.
Chelsea look like the 'Mourinho Machine' everyone thought they would be. Their a points vacuum team, not always pretty but are experienced & have the squad depth - which is essential during xmas & the run-in.
Arsenal are on a wave right now, playing beautiful & still have players to return. I'm still questioning their big game nerves, playing a newly formed Spurs & Napoli has proved nothing to me. Beating the minnows though and potential banana skins shows to me though that something may have changed in that team. Can Ramsey keep this form going, can Giroud remain fit & contribute, will injuries hit the squad - particularly defensively. Too many questions still unanswered for me.
City impressed me tonight but it was only West Ham. If they get consistency & stop dropping points away from home, then they are a serious threat. No question they can blow away another top team on their day & they have squad depth.
Title winners - City/Chelsea
3rd - Arsenal
4rd - Man Utd.....just

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
The questions are answered for me john.
Injuries won't affect arsernal like others think.. there have young players that are so hungry.. you just know that Ramsey today came on and wanted to shine because others had allready. When walcot and chamberlain come back they will fight as hard as they can to play well. Wilshire is only at 60% at the moment but also eager as a beaver on heat.. ozil is a top 3 world player and best in the prem.
I am calling it. Arsernal for the title
