Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?
First topic message reminder :
Am thinking of going in February for 3 or 4 nights, anyone got any advice about hotels, places to visit etc? Have had a virtual drive-round on google maps and it looks like a giant suburb.

After the sterling work you have both performed in reinvigorating the Travel section, I think you should help out FOF on the Fishing section.

Flood control is active on this forum, please wait 15 second(s) before replying or posting. - bit annoying
Will have a look in a bit, sean, have posted on there before. Think it's a bit like fishing itself, sitting there all alone waiting for a tiny bit of action.

Mastermind presenter Magnus Magnusson was born in Reykjavik.
He was born in Iceland but lived in Scotland for almost all of his life, although he never took British citizenship.

Re: Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?
Where in London? If you're near to a Wrap-It-Up I would recommend their large chicken burrito (with aubergines instead of salsa) and a pot of blisteringly hot chilli sauce. £6.45 but if you keep a card every 10th one is free so works out at £5.81. Re: Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?
F*****g hot. It's good to pour droplets onto the burrito after each bite, gives it a serious amount of zing. A Pakistani colleague of mine who lives on pretty spicy food once drank a pot (they're about shot-glass size) to prove that he wasn't gay and since then he gets hiccups as soon as he eats anything even moderately hot so it must've done some permanent damage.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:Hatton Garden. I've got some tomatoes in my garden. Or I did have. They got little black spots on them so I threw most of them away. Re: Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?
You're not prepping them right then. Obviously they need to be ripe but importantly they need to be at room temperature. I guess a sandwich shop would have them stuck in the refridgerated section. The Womble wrote:I like tomatoes when they are cooked, or in things but not when they are just there in a salad. When I go to the South of France there is nothing better than slicing a beef tomato up on a plate, tearing a bit of basil on to it and sprinkling a little balsamic. Leave it out in the sun for 10 minutes and bill's your father.

It's illegal in Iceland to sell panties, boxers, thongs, and jock straps with the Icelandic flag on them apparently.
