Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?

First topic message reminder :

Am thinking of going in February for 3 or 4 nights, anyone got any advice about hotels, places to visit etc? Have had a virtual drive-round on google maps and it looks like a giant suburb.

Not sure really, it's been about 25 years and not too sure of the reason it started.  Was probably an ill-fated attempt to be interesting.

I would eat nipples though if you could buy them separately.

There is also larks' tongues, wrens' livers, chaffinch brains, jaguars' earlobes, dromedary pretzels and Tuscany fried bats.

I believe they are all standard pizza toppings in Reykjavik.

You left out ocelot spleens. Don't recall dromedary pretzels, might have to watch it again.

I forgot otters' noses as well.

I haven't been, but many years ago Aston Villa played Valur Reykjavik in the European Cup and I went to the home leg. Do not remember too much about the game as it was a lot of years ago but do remember they were a very poor side if this helps.

Cheers, Rowley.  Was going to say "at last! some sensible advice", then changed it to "every bit helps" but yours doesn't really fill either criteria.  Might wear my Simon Grayson long-sleeved strip and wander about singing "Valur Reykjavik eru skít" to kick things off.  Apparently the crime rate is low so would be a nice gesture to give them some English culture in exchange for their whale and puffin meat.
