Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?

First topic message reminder :

Am thinking of going in February for 3 or 4 nights, anyone got any advice about hotels, places to visit etc? Have had a virtual drive-round on google maps and it looks like a giant suburb.

Just read the gag & bat posts re the seal noises and can confirm that peppermint tea is just as hot through the nostrils as camomile tea.

Yes they had a really nice time thanks. They bought me back a tea towel that had a map of Reykjavik on it.

Well, funny story. They said they found a tea towel shop in the heart of the city and intended to get it there. However things apparently got a bit bonkers at an Icelandic tea rooms (Vikings and all that) and it slipped their minds. They had to then buy one in the airport on the way home, however they waited until the flight was being called before buying it. They like to live on the edge those crazy cats.

An old flat mate of mine got it on with a female Swedish international footballer once. Her driving licence confirmed that she was female. She was very loud and I was able to dispense with the need for my listening glass, but I can report that the noises were more canine than seal like.

Valur Reykjavik are really called Knattspyrnufélagið Valur. Murdo MacDougall managed them in the 30s.

Joey Guðjónsson is Icelandic. He played for Villa for a while. He wasn't from Reykjavik though.
