Eng v Aus match thread + build up
First topic message reminder :
Chance to chat about the game.
I think it will be a real cracker with England to take it by around 8 points or more.
I know every game is important but the management must have this penciled in as a must win because they can win it if they play it right.

Clancy obviously decided who was going to win this match before kickoff.

Terrible reffing, Farrell was clearly away for a 80 metre romp to the line....

I have to agree there are a few question marks, but generally when I watch NZ play I am amazed by some non decisions especially at the breakdown so it's just nice to get some back for a change.

isn't it using common sense?Biltong wrote:Apparantly not enough obstruction.TJ wrote:Another shocker of a decision. Clear obstruction.
Never knew there are acceptable degrees of obstruction.
Like when a line out is never 100% straight etc yet isn't called?

Jaysus GE, New Zealand are the masters of that sort of "smart" play. Streets ahead of the rest of the world.

Clearly giving England endless penalties wasn't enough and now Clancy and his clowns are giving them
Tries instead. Just Apalling

SA score tries using blockers all the time. Hartley hardly did anything. Oz D was terrible.Biltong wrote:Apparantly not enough obstruction.TJ wrote:Another shocker of a decision. Clear obstruction.

England have done well to come back and apply good pressure. Couple of cals going favourably (the out etc) but no denying the change in pressure. Oz are being strangled a bit. Still more left in Cooper so still the one to watch.

I hate whinging about refs but the bad decisions have slanted this game hugely. If England win this one then Aus can rightly feel robbed. ruined the game as the best side are behind

But the last 10 minutes they havent been the best side. Aus have missed two kicks now.TJ wrote:I hate whinging about refs but the bad decisions have slanted this game hugely. If England win this one then Aus can rightly feel robbed. ruined the game as the best side are behind

Best thing if this is the final score we can hear all about how good England are from their fans

Australia forced to chase a game now that by rights they should be winning. Hence the "change in momentum".
England feeding on Australia's mistakes as they are forced

Disagree, the team who have had plenty more time together and in their stride already are behind, we are far more inexperienced and as the game goes on we are gelling better and better.TJ wrote:I hate whinging about refs but the bad decisions have slanted this game hugely. That's right - the "pressure" England put on to keep Australia "pinned down" and Farrell's "scything run" through the defense.DeludedOptimistorjustDave wrote:Best thing if this is the final score we can hear all about how good England are from their fans

Aus have clearly created more. clearly the better side. Refs errors have gifted at least 14 pts which would destroy any team.

They're only behind because of two absolute referee shockers - about which serious questions must be asked.butterfingers wrote:Disagree, the team who have had plenty more time together and in their stride already are behind, we are far more inexperienced and as the game goes on we are gelling better and better.TJ wrote:I hate whinging about refs but the bad decisions have slanted this game hugely. This score line and the nature in which the two tries scored by England really puts into perspective the Lions result.

lots of questions must of been asked about NZ over the years then, shame you haven't really spoken about those much. Strange that...GloriousEmpire wrote:They're only behind because of two absolute referee shockers - about which serious questions must be asked.butterfingers wrote:Disagree, the team who have had plenty more time together and in their stride already are behind, we are far more inexperienced and as the game goes on we are gelling better and better.TJ wrote:I hate whinging about refs but the bad decisions have slanted this game hugely.
