Eng v Aus match thread + build up
First topic message reminder :
Chance to chat about the game.
I think it will be a real cracker with England to take it by around 8 points or more.
I know every game is important but the management must have this penciled in as a must win because they can win it if they play it right.

Penalty advantage. No forward progress made, a couple of recycles. No advantage gained. Go back for the pen.

Scrums are a complete lottery. Ive seen scrums like that go to the opposition for wheeling 90.
Its not the refs fault its the IRB's for destroying scrums. Its meant to just restart games.

Maybe, but I knew we would struggle early on, and get stronger as we used our bench, to claim we only scored through reffing howlers is pretty disrespectfull.nathan wrote:ooooh harsh! lolbutterfingers wrote:If we're asking questions about certain performances you might get stripped a world cup winGloriousEmpire wrote:They're only behind because of two absolute referee shockers - about which serious questions must be asked.butterfingers wrote:Disagree, the team who have had plenty more time together and in their stride already are behind, we are far more inexperienced and as the game goes on we are gelling better and better.TJ wrote:I hate whinging about refs but the bad decisions have slanted this game hugely. Overall we have been the better of 2 average on the day performances, Aus look nervous and we are inexperienced but will take a lot from this type of win.

Insult to injury - mike brown named man of the match for having his feet in touch without being seen by the officials.

Australia only have themselves to blame. They were very weak all match. If England had any clue what to do with their posession it could have been a rout. Both teams weak.

what nonsense - nearly as bad as the welsh. aus were robbed by poor decisions. No question at all. England were second best until they had the stuffing knocked out of them by a series of bad decisions cost them 14 pts. England looked poor. Struggled to beat a poor Aus side even with the refs mistakes going their wayGeordieFalcon wrote:Love all this hatred and bile towards England. +1 not sure why the hatred is coming this way, I generally want the 6N teams to perform well against the SH teams, yes we rode our luck and yes we got the rub of the green, but lets be honest everyone has the odd game that goes against them, and the odd game that goes for, you have to capitolise on the games you get the luck, and we did.GeordieFalcon wrote:Love all this hatred and bile towards England. Win is a win.
Good teams win ugly.
Other nations fear us if they don't kiss up to the result.
Building for the future.
It's all about the win.
Oh dear the spin is making dizzy.

Fair play England. Scrappy game, but a wins a win.
If it wasn't for the fact that the Wallabies are playing Italy I'd say they were on course for a white wash.

The interviewer has just asked two of the worst, most leading and snidey questions. Utterly classless. Ben Mowen seems a good bloke, was perfectly entitled to question the ref but didn't.
Normally hate winning games like that where we're massively helped, but the thought of GE's burst blood vessels sort of evens it out.

1)
there is no hatered towards england expressed - disgust at the poor referreeing that robbed Aus and attacks (justified) on how the english press will spin this.
2) No one will be scared of that performance. It was mince. Pure mince.

Again, as I have reminded you last time. Complimenting Meyer on believing attacking rugby is the way forward for the Boks is not a moral victory, but rather a congratulations to Meyer for not wanting to play an antiquated game plan.mystiroakey wrote:You banging on about how good you were in your last loss!Biltong wrote:Moral losses?mystiroakey wrote:A win is a win biltong.
