Not like Vermaak CJ?

I think he's mustard, prob only behind Krockett this season in T14.

i)Do internationals affect this game?
ii) Do pacific islanders count as SH players?

Like Pooly said, 2 is a yes.

And #1 won't internationals won't count, but there will be injuries. Also with some tactics in the game fitness can play a part, but its not a long season.

budgets are done

Fixtures for the league are sorted.

And the draft will start tomorrow (10am)! Post your pick on the foreigns page. The order will be in the op of the page, and it is a free pick. This is represented in the budgets, as I accounted it as what would have been another foriegn.

Foreigns, when they open (which is monday 9am) are unlimited, but will only be open for two weeks. Usual rules, but there will be 24 hour waiting period for counter bids in bidding wars. Although if everyone went for different players, I can accept/decline bids earlier.

Releases will open on Monday as well. Squads aren't allowed to dip below 27 players however, as this covers injuries so you would have a minimum of 23 for a matchday.

I will check all squads briefly!

At risk of sounding like a whiny little girl, can I have a grumble about budgets as I feel a bit hard done by..

The teams that have been given comparable budgets to me (Clermont, Toulon and Toulouse) can virtually field an eligible 23 (7 NH 7 SH) without making a single signing or trade

I have 0 NH qualified players on my page, and I know I have a lower budget as I got first pick and took the Crusaders, but how can I get 7 NH players in my team with 25m?

As you can see on my team page, the only players that have been attracting any interest are the top 4 or 5 players I own, thus leaving me open to losing badly on trades in order to get some NH players so I can field an eligible squad.

I feel as though my budget should be approximately the same as the Stormers, as I think we have a similar number of WC players, and both have no NH players in our squad at this time.

If you guys think I'm being too whiny then say so and I will carry on accordingly, but just thought I would put my case across for an increased budget

I can see exactly where you are coming from Bam. Effectively all of us who picked SH teams are at a real disadvantage due to having to get 7 NH players in.

Prop would love you to help out mate. Won't be do injuries straight away but will give you a heads up!

Bam, I can share your pain. There's two options I have in mind, I can too up those with biased squads with a bit more dosh. Or I can try and do a smaller draft in which we can pick squad type players to top up the quotas.

The rules were set in place before people picked teams.

Not wanting to sound too harsh but it's your own problem if you picked a SH side.

I did say you'll have plenty of dealing to do, you might have to bite the bullet and go after some squad player maybe?

I was thinking of doing it after the 3rd game so any player who plays in the it's three games could be injured! Will probably use random.org or people in work to randomly get the game and player number

Nobody forced you to pick a SH side, you could decide who you wanted.

Leinster, Ospreys, Munster, Northampton, Sarries etc all have good squads that would have had a decent budget.

Rules were up before team selection is all I'm saying.

I'd happily trade top class NH for top class SH, and similar with squad players.

I don't see why you need an increased budget or an extended draft because you've decided to go with a SH squad.

Do some deals, you may lose out, you may not. Fact is you chose that squad.

Main reason why I went for Racing and not someone like Chiefs or Blues or Hurricanes. I've got a surplus of NH, with 9 in my squad, more than happy to trade some, if not all of them.

I have to agree with Pooly on this one. I was gutted not to pick one of the bigger, better squads, but knew that being 5th/6th in the draft that I'd be able to get one with a NH/SH mix

You've asked for top draw players, I'm sure managers will do squad players until you have more to barter with.

I'm not asking for a massive budget or preferential selection rules, I'm asking for a budget that puts me closer to the other SH teams.

My point is that I'm open to being held to ransom, by other owners insisting on my top players in trades for players that don't match up. I don't blame them, I would do the same thing if I knew the other guy wouldn't be able to field a squad unless he makes this particular trade so I've got him over a barrel.

My main point was that the Stormers have 2.5 x the budget of the Crusaders, but I don't think Crusaders are 2.5x better off in terms of players.

Budgets were effectively decided based on opinion and I put across my case as to why I thought that opinion was wrong. If you guys don't agree then I will deal with it, as I said

Ok, so here's the rub, I have two issues.

1. Bam has made a fair point that he is entitled to make, and Flux was addressing it, it doesn't need all the rest of the input to be honest.

2. I don't actually see the point of the 7:7 rule, in as much as I am not sure what it is trying to achieve.  In the other game we have the EQ quota because it's the English league and we didn't want it becoming a world league.  This is a world league, so why the need for quotas?  It's a 1 season wonder superstar game, just seems a pointless rule to me.

I don't mind the input Ozzy, I don't want anyone to think I'm getting preferential treatment as well as first pick.

If the league doesn't agree, then I will carry on as we are, don't want to put anyone's nose out of joint this early on.

Incidentally, I'm not fussed either way. It's a game and a bit of fun. I'll sort my side accordingly, I just think people should leave it to Fluxy to sort out, it's his game.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

I personally think Crusaders are well ahead of the Stormers on paper and the budget is spot on.

Interesting that nobody complained about the 7/7 rule beofre we selected teams.....

Still not sure what the purpose of the rule is.
