Not a pundit but a broadcaster - Football is her real expertise but she is a genuine sports fan and knowledgeableCari wrote:Gaby Logan is actually very educated in most sport - including rugby. And she should be, she's an ex-international gymnast, her dad was a famous professional footballer and she's married to an ex (Scottish) international rugby player.Ineffable wrote:Switched off - that lady who's talking the stats doesn't understand rugby you can tell. This is not a sexist comment btw before someone jumps me for it
Incidentally, I'm not disagreeing with you because she's female and I think you're being sexist - I just think you're wrong. I think she's one of the better pundits on TV compared to some of the other numpties they have.

C'mon Scotland! Some unexpected snow would be welcome. But Id settle for a wobbly penalty goal to Scotland at the end for the only points of the second half. Keep at it and believe!!!!

It's Andy RObinson too, ex coach! Not a surprise.
I take it back on Gabby then - maybe it's the broadcast-not-pundit thing then. Stand corrected.

Why don't you use this to make sweeping generalisations about Scotland then? I don't see why not, everyone does it with Wales...Biltong wrote:Have to say the Scottish commentators do complain a lot.

It looks very cold in Edinburgh tonight.
The Saint: not as cold as it is in Wales so why don't you have a swipe at Wales. Everybody else does....
Is it beyond you not to shoehorn in an anti-Wales comment on any thread?

Do they say "kia kaha" in Tonga as well? It's a term I used when speaking to a Tongan friend recently, so I'd feel stupid if they didn't.

Re: Scotland v Australia, 23 November
That second try of Australia was brilliantly executed.
I feel for Simmons there, he shouldn't have thrown the punch, but the Scottish prop was in an offside position at the ruck holding on to Simmons.
Simmons will learn from that, niggly effective play there by Scotland.

People are complaining about Andy Nichol whinging?
If we're doing that then I'd similarly like to complain about '101 Dalmations'. Lots of bloody dogs in it.

Saint, I suggest you sort yourself out, firstly not everyone is against Wales, but you certainly aren't helping the cause of your team by continually displaying such sour behaviour. The Saint wrote:Why don't you use this to make sweeping generalisations about Scotland then? Kaha derives from Proto-Polynesian Kafa which means strong like rope. Tongan would be different but he'd know what it means.

Re: Scotland v Australia, 23 November
I sometimes think it's better to not bother scoring penalties because we're so crap at restarts. Just go for tries at least then if we concede a penalty straight away we're still 4 up with a kick off to come.
Hmm ... good tactic actually ...
