Hey boys, I've still got two seats available - Main stand, Block G, Row A - PM me if you're interested.
Otherwise I'm going to have to start speaking to people in Waxys. I don't want to do that.

easy.
just say "if I continue to play rugby, I will have a body like this" Then show a picture of Sean Maitland in the buff (you can get one of those off Schitz)
then say "if I stop playing rugby, I'll end up looking like this" Then show a picture of ASBO in the buff (you can get one of those off GC)
I defo wouldn't show her a picture of my muff - she's liable to vom
ASBO has just canoed (sic) to the Grand Canal, Venice and back so doubt he is carrying a lot of excess baggage. The man is a player alright !

Re: 1872 Cup Thread 2014: Glasgow vs Edinburgh
I've realised that I'm psychologically unprepared for supporting a team that are favorites for anything.
Quite simply, I'm having continuous flashes of the unthinkable happening. Edinburgh running in a bonus point win against us, as our one try conceded in five matches record goes up in smoke.
Oh god, just let the match start - reality is never going to be as bad as my neuroses!

All that being said, watching Saracens play right now, and can't help thinking, "the Warriors could waste these chumps...".

8,617 tickets sold for tonight's game. Glasgow 235 away from setting a new crowd record.

This is hard to take really, Glasgow had a very nice pool and the way they are playing right now i wouldn't fear anyone.

Any chance that this 1872 thread could get to 1,000 posts by itself?
We'd need a lot more sledging, oblique references to Asbo in the nip, random thoughts unrelated to rugby, jokes about trams, insults about avoiding bathing products and general commentary about Glasgow fans being more Welsh than Tom Jones at a bestiality convention in Pontypridd.
But I know from long experience that we can do it.

Couldn't agree more GC. I'll help! I can spraff for Scotland!
I could blether on about how Rob Wainwright bought my dad's tractor soon after retiring and started farming...
Or how Hoggy might be off to play as first choice stand off for the Crusaders...
And Ritchie "V8 Turbo" Vernon obviously giving sprinting tips to Carlin Isles, who was slow as **** before coming to Glasgae.
And I may be seeing the Police soon after I smash in that beemer, thats car alarm has been going off for the last half hour. Never use after market car alarms people...
Less than 2 hours to go before kick off! BRING ON THE GREAT UNWASHED!
Here's hoping for a Glasgow BP win, with Embra getting a 2 BP loss.

Believe it or not my brother, who attended the same Cambridge college as Rob Wainwright having chosen to spend his education learning rather than watching rugby, had to call Rob Wainwright as part of calling campaign to raise money and was turned down as he was out lambing and had been for many hours

All the pressure is on Glasgow - they are expected to win at a canter.
The Scottish psyche isn't made for being favourites - let's see how they cope with it!
Can see it being competitive for the first 50 with Glasgow pulling away. If Edinburgh get a lbp I'll be impressed.

When there are two Scottish teams involved we cannot use the reasoning that Scottish teams don't cope well as favourite otherwise the entire league, grass roots system and rugby structure would be a complete farce, could you imagine that?

If you want to grab the attention of a sheep farmer, make sure to grab said attention before or after lambing time. Never during. The only response you'll get is snoring or the sound of bleating...
And if you meet a lambing farmer face to face you'll see that clean clothes consist of a fleece/waterproof jacket and jeans that smells of dried lambs milk, iodine and colostrum. Faecal matter and afterbirth in there too for good measure. My dear mother has to sometimes hose down my dad before letting him in the house!

My uncle is a farming lawyer (tweeds at all times, crazily long "Colonel Blashford-Snell" eyebrows, smells always of Balken Sobranie pipe tobacco) and the best random piece of legal trivia he ever imparted was that sheep wintering contracts are called 'adjeecement' agreements. Those Xmas parties just flew by.

1. 11-0 Dodgers of the Soap
2. God, Finn looks about 9 without that beard.
3. When trying to find out who scored, I accidentally Googled "Rabi Pro 12'. Some of the hits you get from that looked wonderful.

Very, very dubious that the TMO wasn't used there. Ref seemed to take his linesman's word for it entirely.

Personally I think Glasgow need to start running their penalties in their own half. They need to back their ability to put games away ASAP, especially the next two

Edinburgh really are the worlds worst at restarts, both taking and receiving. Glasgow kick them short and high and compete well, Edinburgh kick them long and low....
