First topic message reminder :

Let's look towards the next game after getting ourselves back on track against France, just like last year, after the Irish put the spanner in the works.

Oh we're weakened alright! We only have two decent halfback and Pienaar can't play 9 AND 10. Fortunately I think Paddy Jackson will get some game time on Friday  Wink

If England managed a win against us in the last few years folk might be more interested. Sad

How come your lot still get excited about playing the all blacks then? laughing
????????
Maybe because we don't beat them on a regular basis?????? Doh

is it an inability to do banter without losing it?

Or is it that there's over a week to go still?

Jonathan Davies has been released from the Wales squad to get some much needed game time, along with seven others (who I guess probably won't make the 23)

Released Players:

Ospreys:
James King
Justin Tipuric
Dan Biggar

Scarlets:
Emyr Phillips
Samson Lee
Rhodri Williams
Jonathan Davies

Newport Gwent Dragons:
Andrew Coombs

Rev,

Will be very surprised if Tipuric not make 23, who you think maybe on bench instead?

I think they liked the performances of players who have had a bit of game time in between internationals. Tipuric will get 40 minutes for the ospreys. As will Biggar.

We need the lads on top form vs England. Realistically we not only have to beat them, we have to give them an epic thrashing like last year, to get us back in contention for retaining the championship.

It's a very big task ahead. We can't rely on a narrow win away and to put a big score on Scotland, when the scots seem to be improving each game.

Ok welshies-

Do you think its an easy win.

Are you going to try and beat us by loads of points so you have a shot at reversing your PD?

You are clearly favs for the game, but do you think you are capable of beating us by 20 pts?

Thats fine TheSainty we already have our excuse, its injuries this time. Obviously the reffing wont help but they are missing the f3 first choice props, first choice 8, 2 first choice wings, first choice and reserve 13, reserve fullback, possible first choice flanker, the second choice fly half quit recently rumour has it phil vickery is about to retire too. Theyve been unable to call up Duncan Bell due to lack of release in his Dragons contract and Julian White is busy farming.
Despite all that poor Haskell still cant even get in the 64  Rolling Eyes

Joking aside the injuries are biting now and that may prove the tipping point on this one now Wales are bothering to try again. Which presumably is why I picked England to win in the predictions thread  Doh

I don't think we'll win by 40 points, so really it isn't a low expectation, more of a prediction...

PSW, Wales have had a horrendous number of injuries in recent seasons. It's how you deal with them that matters. As a result, Adam Jones has a new Viking friend in Jake Ball. During the time Jones was out, I feel that Gatland wasted time on Rh.Jones. He should have developed Lee instead.

I don't ever expect an 'easy' win in the 6 nations any more.

I hope we beat England but I don't think the score is going to be anything like last year. I think the wall of noise at the Millennium had you half beaten before kick off. Even watching it on TV it was hugely impressive.

There is just no rivalry left is there lets face it lads... Its gone..

Come next year though I think it will be electric.

If England(honestly i think being at home and on our form we are just favs this time) beat Wales- then with the whole same group RWC thing- It will explode during next 6 natikons and throughout the whole year But at the moment this really is the calm before the storm..

Actually its a good point with the 13s, i just kinda chucked it in there. I was thinking Joseph (Hes tarted in the summer) but Trinder wouldve been Lancasters choice behind Tuilagi way back when and not doubt wouldvbe been in the EPS somewhere currently were it not for continued injuries. Can we count Tait still ? . Im not sure Lowe really figures now though.
Anyway between them I think that covers reserve 13?

Looking forward to this match and seeing the England response to last year's result and how Gatland will approach this fixture. If things get heated, just remember that we as a 606vs family are nowhere near as dysfunctional as this lot: http://www.superlenteja.com/fotos-de-familia/

You don't need to know Spanish to know that these are all disturbing. 16 is my personal favourite but feel those parents should have their children taken from them.

if everton finish 8-10th every season but win just one cup- JUST one cup over the next 10 years. Martinez has done a better job.

ANd in all fairness i think Martinez would win more like 4 cups if he stayed that long. Because everton is a that is best suited for cup success.

Moyes not winning one is pretty telling for that sort of team.

He wont be able to get top 4- He will never have the money- No manager could become a top 4 with everton.. BUt they should be able to win some silverware

So Manu and John Davies are both plying back for their clubs this weekend.

Anyone see both playing next week? Both might struggle with injury because Manu is a big set lad and coming straight back into a fast game might be a risk and the same with John; John's injury no doubt will affect his fitness.

tbh i would be surprised if Manu is even on the bench. Burrell has been very good so far at 13. Cant see Lancaster wanting to rush Manu back into a 10-13 that is solid and whose communication is improving weekly.

Your lack of Rugby nouse has been clear for some time. The reason why has become clearer.Go back to handball where you belong. Saddo.

If you are happy for people to post just to cause mischief I am relieved that you are not a moderator. We have more than enough wummers and if some clown breaks his own cover excuse me whilst I laugh up my sleeve.

I'm not really sure what you're on about. He posted to the wrong thread.

Do you not follow more than one sport?

Anyway, I'm sure mystiroakey can fight his own battles but calling someone a 'saddo' for liking a particular sport is a bit narrow-minded.

I am not quite sure what I am being.Never held this fella in an average regard. His football interest reinforces my regard for his Rugby contributions and gives them some context.Up the Arsenal!
