Offence
We've concentrated on the run game in the past few weeks, to some success, but we think the Colts have got a decent run stopping game with Wilkerson. And whilst we recognise the threat of Freeney, we're going to put the ball in Rivers hands and get him, coming of a big year, to win us the game. We'll use Woodhead a lot coming out of the backfield to give Rivers an option if he does feel the pressure coming but we've got some options for a big play with Andre Johnson coming back from injury as well as useful options in Smith and Gates to move the chains. The Colts won't be able to stop all of them. We're also going to do some things to get Austin in space (end arounds etc.), he's a dynamic playmaker and if he gets space he can do special things. Mathews to play more if we get a sizable lead and want to run the ball to control the clock. The improvements on our O-line should be enough to give Rivers enough time to get things done.
Defence
Luck is clearly there main weapon. Whilst there O-line is improved, our DL (Watt, Dareus, Liuget) will fancy their chances of causing some carnage to at least draw a hell of a lot of attention and let the rush linebackers, Freeney especially, get home. We're not to scared of the Colts run game so should be able to shut it down without too much additional attention. Verner will try and shut down Hilton as their main weapon in the pass game, with some help from Weddle if needed. We suspect they might try a quick passing game, if so Mathieu will move into the slot and shut down Amendola who will be the main target on quick hits.

Offense
QB -- Ben Roethlisburger
RB 25 Jamaal Charles
WR -- Josh Gordon, WR - WR 82 Dwayne Bowe - WR 22 Dexter McCluster
TE -- Jordan Cameron
79 Donald Stephenson T - 71 Jeff Allen G/T -61 Rodney Hudson C/G -73 Jon Asamoah G - 72 Eric Fisher T
Tactics
With Ben Roethlisburger now at QB the Chiefs will go with a more balanced split [50/50 run/pass]
Jamaal Charles will still be the focal point of the offense , as well as being the main RB he will also receive several screen passes in an attempt to get him outside of the Bengals front 4
Chiefs are going with 3 WR's this week , Josh Gordon & Dwayne Bowe on the outside with Dexter McCluster in the slot
Ben R. will mix up the passing game ,occasional long bombs to stretch the secondary mixed in with mostly short possesion passes aiming to use the pace of the 3 WR's after completion to gain extra yards
Defense 3-4
Defensive linemen

Tactics
The main threat to the D this week is AJ Green he will be double teamed by Brandon Flowers & FS Lewis with Smith & Berry going man for man with Sanu and Wright
The front 7 will aim to put as much pressure on Ryan as possible without over blitzing
The OLB's will have to wary of Gio Bernard trying to get outside as this is where he is more dangerous rather than as a between the tackles RB

Bengals:
Up tempo passing attack to start the game. Motion Gio Bernard to the slot to find key matchups against the ILB's. Use Kendall Wright and Tyler Eifert over the middle against those weak LB's too. This will force Justin Houston/Tamba Hali to be dropped into coverage to help, nullifying the pass rush and giving Matt Ryan time to let routes develop downfield for AJ Green to make plays over the top against a weak FS. Screen and draw game will also be heavily used as getting Gio Bernard in space is a good idea*, and it will again slow down the outside pass rush.
Starting out in a 4-3 base defense but this is fluid and will react to the offense's formation (using nickel against some 3 WR sets as Leon Hall moves inside to slot corner). DRC will be shadowing Josh Gordon. The tall and long CB can disrupt Gordon at the catch point as well as covering his routes. With a poor OL, the front four can reach Roethlisberger without the need for blitzing. Roethlisberger's elusiveness means that he can escape blitzers easily and make plays on the run. The two DE's will hold contain on the outside and leave Geno Atkins to destroy the interior OL. When he pushes the pocket up, Roethlisberger will have nowhere to go except into the arms of Carlos Dunlap. Jamaal Charles will be stopped by building up a lead on offense and strong tackling from Lee and Burfict at LB.

On the offence we're going to throw the ball to are WR who are exceptional weapons for Peyton, mix it up a bit go for long and short balls and try to make sure to get coverage. I want Peyton protected at all costs as the Pat's are a strong side that we can't take lightly. On occasions run the ball as this will catch them out and force them into errors. This is a winnable game if we stick to a positive mentality.
Make sure to cover Brady as he has an exceptional throwing arm, do not allow him to get away easily and force him into errors. Watch out for the WRs who are going to be dangerous weapons make sure to block any attempted passes towards them. Keep cover on the RB's as they will try and run and do not let them get yardage as it could be costly. We will keep a few players at the back in order to stop them getting away easily. Good luck out there and make your fans proud.

Offence
They've lined up a nickel defence, so we've gone for a 2 WR, 2 TE set to run the ball against them, meaning we should have 7 blockers to 6 in the box (unless they bring a safety in). Off the run look to send Gronk up the seam on play action against their safeties it's a no contest just keeping throwing it to him, and look to get Fitz one on one against Old man Tillman that's a battle we win everyday. Hooman block like the boss you are.
Defence
I'm gonna trust our front 6 to hold up against the run, meaning we're gonna go man to man on the back end. Peterson on Decker, Talib get physical with D Thomas as he dont like that, Ryan take Welker in the slot, and McCourty cover Julius. Gregory left as the one deep safety. LB's take the RB out of the backfield. Front four get pressure onto Peyton, which is crucial, Suh get after Garland who sucks ass

Offence
We are going to go run heavy this week and try to have a much possession of the ball as possible. We will mainly used the.Tolbert and Peterson combination to run but will also play alot of option runs for Cam Newton to run the opposite side. Will look to use Williams occasionally to give Peterson a break and Patterson of trick run plays out of the back. We we mix in some down field passing plays too to Allen, Patterson if the Packers go too heavy on run defence.
Defence
Key is trying to stop the Packers as quick as possible. Ie rush Rodgers and try and contain Lacy all in the pocket. Get Hardy and Johnson to close the outside and.Kuechley, Short, Lotulelei down the middle.

P - Donnie Jones
PR/KR - DeSean Jackson
Sort of flying blind without the other team there, but I did my best to guess what they'd be like.
Overall Plan:
Expose their secondary and get after Kaepernick.
Offence
The plan is to get the ball out of Foles' hands as quickly as possible, with quick passes and screens to negate the pass rush. Jackson and Brown should be too quick to be covered by their corners. McCoy will be use both in the run game and passing but because of their excellent front 7 the focus will be on passing the ball.
Defence
5 defensive lineman will be used, including Trent Cole as a linebacking DE. On 3 wr sets Chris Jones will come out for Brandon Boykin for a conventional nickel set. Grimes will stick on Marshall with Williams on Crabtree. Davis will be covered by David with Kendricks focusing on the rb. The 5 d-lineman should be able to create inside pressure while making sure Kaepernick can't escape outside. The three DTs will push inside and Quinn and Cole will go after Kaepernick. This should really help slow down their run game and force Kaepernick to make quick decisions and reads. Harrison Smith has a roaming role with Allen staying in a deep zone.
Special Teams
Jackson has licence to bring everything out. Might go for a trick play (fake punt/fg) if at all possible.
- 49ers:
- QB - Colin Kaepernick
RB - Frank Gore
WR - Brandon Marshall, Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin
TE - Vernon Davis
OT - Joe Staley, Adam Snyder
OG - Mike Iupati, Alex Boone
C - Daniel Kilgore
DL - Gerald McCoy, Justin Smith, Ray McDonald
OLB - Aldon Smith, Dan Skuta
ILB - Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman
S - Eric Reid, Donte Whitner
CB - Tarell Brown, Trumaine Brock
K - Phil Dawson
P - Andy Lee
PR/KR - Lamichael James
Same as last week with Marshall and Crabtree leading the passing game. Try to get running game going, not afraid to let Kaepernick fly. Gore to see passes out of the backfield. Will try to take advantage of any two-on-one situations with Boldin and Marshall/ Crabtree. Look often to Vernon Davis against the safeties.
Try to pass rush Brees. Should be capable of stopping the Saints rushing game with McCoy, Smith & McDonald. If 49ers can get earlier pressure on Brees with Aldon Smith, Willis, Bowman. Try to rough Graham up with a physical game. Could go 3-35 with extra DB to cover Graham.

PR/KR - Darren Sproles.
Offence
They want to rush 4 and drop 7, we will run the ball on early downs with Robinson and Thomas, keeping both fresh. Run at Avril behind Williams and force their LBs to start playing the run more aggressively.
When they do, use play action, Stills and VJax to blow the top off the defence, see if slow coach Browner can keep up with Stills without his Adderall, test them with deep throws to force Thomas to start playing coverage.
Then play the mismatch with Colston and Graham, if either on a slower or smaller defender throw it there. Sproles in to mix up the plays, use fake screens to get their safeties flying towards the ball, then throw out to the receivers.
Defence
Revis to take Bryant in the red zone and Harvin over the rest of the field. Lewis and safety help over the top of the other receiver. Safeties to mix up coverage on Witten and any 3rd receivers.
Rush 4, drop 7 but the MLBs to play the run aggressively and trust the secondary to deal with play action.
Wake to line up at LOLB primarily, behind Hicks, get after their RT and guard. On passing downs, Campbell and Hicks to play DT with Wake and Gallette rushing passer. Campbell and Wake to play on same side when we really want to get pressure.
Vaccaro and Gallette to mix up acting as a spy on Wilson when the pocket collapses, prevent him from making his big runs.

Yeah, in my tactics I put 'we recognise the threat of Freeney' or something like that, I'm just a bit simple and about 2 years out of touch. I meant Mathis.

- Feedback:
- Chargers 21-14 Colts
Chargers out last the colts in this one.
Cheifs 41-34 Bengels
High scoring game this one, just have a feeling that Cheifs would snatch this one.
Packers 21-23 OT Panthers
An overtime win for the Panthers in this one.
Eagles 27-19 49ers
Eagles manage to stay strong and grab the win.
Saints 31-27 Seahawks
Tight one was hard to decide but I think the Saints will upset the Seahawks in this one with Jackson have a good day.

Chargers 24 @ 23 Colts
Normally would expect Indy to win this at home
But Chargers have set out good tactics therefore they nick this late on as Colts have not provided any tactics
Patriots 34 @ 31 Broncos
This has the makings of a shoot out
Neither D will be able to stop the flow of points
Pats win it with last second FG due to better tactics
Packers 23 @ 24 Panthers
Another close game ,Packers air attack vs Panthers ground game
Two good sets of tactics
Peterson should gain large chunks of yards and keep the chains moving
Home advantage to count as Panthers win a close one
Eagles 24 @ 30 49ers
Good tactics from Eagles keep this close
But in reality they will not score enough points against the tough 49er D
Niners win at home reasonably well
Seahawks 23 @ 30 Saints
Great match up this one
Tactics are OK for both sides
Like the Saints idea to run against a team set up to stop the pass
The improved Saints D will hold Lynch to under 100 yards
Seahawks are very strong but just fancy the Saints to win in the dome

Chargers 20 - 17 Colts
I see this being quite a tight game. Both defences match up well to the opposing offence. Wilkerson and Mathis will have real success against the Chargers O Line, and I see similar for Watt and co vs the Colts OL. I think we will see a lot of field goals, and the game comes down to who has the better playmakers to make one big play. For me, this is the Chargers, as I don't think the Colts can contain all the different options in the passing game, and they pick up a good win on the road.
Chiefs 26 - 23 Bengals
Good tactics from both, (no extra credit for using video evidence for Cincy!) Plenty of playmakers on both sides of the ball, and again I think the front 7s of both teams will do pretty well against the respective OLs. I don't think the Chiefs OL is as weak as the tactics make it sound, and with a random bloke at one of the DE spots I think the Chiefs OL will do fine. This basically comes down to who has a better QB for me, and even though its his first game, Big Ben is the better QB IMO, and I also think Gordon/Bowe/Charles will make a play or two more than the Bengals skill players. Chiefs win
Broncos 15 - 31 Patriots
Broncos tactical wizardry "we're going to throw the ball to are WR" (generally a good idea) and "Keep cover on the RB's as they will try and run and do not let them get yardage as it could be costly" (WILL be costly) doesn't really tell me how they are going to play. Jeffrey would have been a good option in this game, as he would have needed double coverage. Talib will struggle against DThomas for me, but frankly its not even going to matter. Pats will just gash the Broncos by running up the middle all game long, if you are going to play with just 2 LBs they better be good ones, and as good as Miller is even he can't make that much of a difference. This is probably a conservative score for the Pats
Packers 30 - 23 Panthers
I don't see the Panthers able to keep up with the Packers offensively, and I think they have set up slightly worse than they could have tactically. Not enough focus on stopping the pass from the Panthers, and they are likely to struggle against Calvin and Nelson on the outside. Star and co will do some damage, but I think they are very susceptible to the quick throws in to the slot, and will have to be less aggressive with the blitz to contain this. Packers tactics are simple but target the main weakness of Carolina. AP will do the majority of the damage against the Packers front 7
Eagles 24 - 22 49ers
Hardest game to call for me, given the 49ers appear to be set up to face the mighty Saints, so have to go with their team on paper. Eagles are set up well to counter the strengths of the 49ers front 7, and Jackson and Brown will have success against their corners. I am unsure whether they will have as much success running the ball, so a fair amount of 3 and outs are on the cards. Grimes will do well vs Marshall, but Crabtree is too much for Williams. I expect the Eagles to be able to shut down the run game. Given the lack of tactics for 49ers, and a well thought out game plan for Eagles, I give them a close win

Chargers 33 v 20 Colts
Tough to give an accurate prediction without the Colts' tactics but I probably would've gone for San Diego anyway. The Colts do not have a particularly good secondary so using the receivers and Gates with Woodhead out of the backfield will be far too much for them to handle. On the other side of the ball, Watt and Dareus should be able to pressure Luck as should Freeney. Verner can cover Hilton and Mathieu is a good choice for Amendola. Solid victory due to Rivers here.
Chiefs 21 v 23 Bengals
Very very tight one in Cincinnati. Julio Jones would've made it certain for the Bengals but without him it'll be much closer. I'm a big fan of moving Bernard out into the slot to take advantage of mismatches. Double-teaming Green is a good move but I predict big games for Wright, Eifert and Bernard (both on the ground and through the air). I do like the Chiefs plan with some deep shots mixed up with a shorter game.
Broncos 17 v 26 Patriots
I like this gameplan from the Broncos more than the previous two but I still think there is room for improvement, it seems too general and could be more specific. The Pats have a nice plan bringing in the 2nd tight end to set up the run game, with the play action to Gronk off that. Wayne and Fitzgerald should be able to get free against this secondary. I think this game will be won by Ridley who racks up the yards and keeps Peyton on the sidelines for long periods of time by sapping the clock.
Packers 30 v 20 Panthers
Using Lacy occasionally is a good move, it keeps the Panthers defence honest. It is also clever because you are putting the ball in your best players hands to take advantage of the Panthers weakness, their secondary. When you have Rodgers and Megatron on the same team you don't try to run too much, just give the two the chance to make plays. Having Cobb and Nelson prevents the Panthers from putting too many men on him as well. I like the Panthers plan, trying to keep Rodgers off the field, but I think when he gets on he puts points up too quickly for them to keep up.
Saints 27 v 21 Seahawks
Revis should be able to take care of one of the receivers with 2 dbs taking care of the other. This should free up the rest to stop Lynch and Forte. The Seahawks lpan is very limited. I like the general idea and if it had been fleshed out a bit, who would cover who etc, I think I would've sided with the Seahawks here. However, I have to reward what is a thorough Saints game plan. Vincent Jackson gives Brees another option and proves too much for this secondary who aren't able to cover all Brees' weapons and the running game.

===========================================================================================================
Chargers 31-19 Colts
Gameplan is perfect for the Chargers. Colts are weaker in the secondary and the interior OL. Passing attack will definitely work with Austin and Gates getting preferable matchups against Linebackers and Safeties. Although the Chargers are missing a true 3-4 NT, their pass rushing front 3 will destroy Luck.
Patriots 27 - 18 Broncos
Patriots offense matches up well against the Broncos defense. Pats are good at OT where the Broncos pass rushers will come round the outside. Power running on nickel defense is a good gameplan and the defense will always need to respect the pass with Gronk down the seam. Broncos tactics are very vague and meaningless.
Packers 24 - 22 Panthers
Tough one to call. Two teams that can hurt each other in different ways. I went for the Packers because the 3 headed monster at WR is unstoppable and then there's Eddie Lacy to keep the offense balanced. Panthers will do some damage in the run game and keep it close but Aaron Rodgers to Calvin Johnson wins it on a late drive.
Eagles 26 - 21 49ers
49ers will have a tough time stopping Drew Brees in this game. Nick Foles on the other hand, will be able to get the ball out of his hands quickly but the 49ers strong tackling defense will limit YAC which the Eagles are looking to rely on. However, the pressure that the Eagles DL will generate, with enough protection from the DB's to just about hold on, will force Kaepernick into mistakes, turnovers and points. Game will be won on defense.
Seahawks 30 - 24 Saints
Saints offensive gameplan has the right idea to run the ball down the Seahawks throat. However, I don't feel like they have the personnel to do this and the Seahawks will be able to bottle up Robinson/Thomas with less bodies and give more attention to Jimmy Graham. Seahawks on the other hand, will be utilising their very good RB rotation to run straight through the 4 man DL. However, I feel like Percy Harvin will be limited on the outside and his true playmaking ability needs to come out on shorter routes as the slot man.

Bengals 24 – 21 Chiefs
Big Ben improves the Chiefs a lot, but I really like the Bengals all round and I think there D will do enough to give them a narrow win.
Patriots 27 – 24 Broncos
Another horribly close game to call. Think the Pats will just get enough pressure on Manning, especially from Suh to force enough errors to eek out a narrow win.
Packers 30 – 17 Panthers
Whilst the Panthers will have some success against the Pack’s D, especially AP, I think that the Packer’s passing game will maul the Panthers D, with Megatron putting up some silly numbers.
Eagles 17 – 14 49ers
I like the Eagles tactics here. Think they can shut down the niners offense adequately for them to just about score enough points against the mean 49ers D to get the win.
Seahawks 17 – 21 Saints
Another tight, tight game but I feel home advantage will be the decider for the Saints here. That and the absence of Sherman mean Brees, and especially Graham, get a bit more breathing room and can squeeze out a tight one.

Chargers 33-21 Colts
The Chargers DL will just get to Luck all day and limit the Colts offence massively, and Rivers will put up enough points to make this a comfortable win for the Chargers
Chiefs 23-26 Bengals
Real close one for me this one, the Chiefs have a serious team with Big Ben at QB and Gordon is tough to handle for Cincy. I'd probably like to see the Chiefs go a little more pass heavy, although I like using Charles on screens etc. However I think the Bengals just have more talent, and sneak a real close one here
Packers 23-20 Panthers
A good win for the Pack here in another real close one, not enough from Carolina on how they'll attempt to stop Megatron/Nelson/Cobb and I feel they get gashed through the air by A-rod and they can't keep up on offence
Eagles 37-23 49ers
A good win for an improving Philly side
Seahawks 23-27 Saints
A really close one again, I like the Saints gameplan more than Seattle's and ultimately that gets them the win for me over the more talented Seattle outfit
