Tonight's action
Anybody watching? Underwhelming to say the least so far in my opinion.
Was Fielding stripped of title for failing to make the weight?

Re: Tonight's action
Yeah Pedro, failing by 6lbs is awful. He said Eddie told him not to force the weight off and just come in heavy.
Perkins is still learning, dealt well with a tricky fighter in Ocheing and Mitchell dusted off the cobwebs against a guy who I could beat. This guy against Brook is game early on though.

Re: Tonight's action
I just caught the end of his interview so wasn't too sure but 6lbs is rubbish.
Don't get a Brook fighting 10 rounders at this stage in his career. If he has stamina issues these are the fights he should be building it with. Brook looks short of top level to me.

He loses to both Malignaggi and Porter in my opinion. All well and good throwing a decent jab against a guy who stands at range and doesn't move.
Halling and Watt are on form tonight as well.

I honestly don't give him any chance against Khan.
His power is over rated, couldn't really hurt this fella tonight.

Agree he loses to both and think Porter may even stop him. Just don't see what the fuss has been about him and think Khan beats him also.

Re: Tonight's action
Still back him against Paulie and think he loses to Porter. He clearly didn't really go throuh the gears against this scrappy little fellow but the jab is used as a weapon and he was never troubled.
So long as his antics don't cause him to be crucified he should be fine.

Wonder how much Fielding weighs now...
13 stone?
13.5?

If Adamu can get to Rd 7+ here it will be interesting to see how Fielding holds up carrying all that baggage.

Not looking good for Adamu.
Jim Watt has decided to flog the weight issue to death tonight.

Hope the Bellew fight is competitive because so far.... This has been an awful show.
Did anyone see Bellew interviewed in the dressing room?
Seemed really strange, subdued and not his normal self at all.

A few people said the same on twitter Rob, something just didn't seem right.
I'm doing the write up for this card, and I'll be honest...I'm going to struggle to find much positive to say.

Probably jealous of the interest and support surrounding Fielding. Smith never got this kind of exposure even when he was boasting a longer undefeated record and came out of The contender undefeated.

Like pulling teeth this. Hard to believe Adamu gave froch a decent argument, even if it was 10 years ago. Was rocky fielding christened rocky or did he get the nickname for his all action style?

Eddie said that the Mitchell and Brook fights were mainly made just to break up the camp. This is a bit disrespectful to the paying customers and people viewing.

Been 10 years since that fight though mate, plus Froch wasn't a light heavyweight
Just been told I was talking a load of crap when I said Brook loses to both Malignaggi and Porter on twitter, the guy won't tell me why he disagrees though. It's like arguing with Azania or D4.

Re: Tonight's action
Well, that was terrible, thankgod that's over... Was mildly worried because I thought the worst when Fielding came in 6lbs over that he wasn't in shape. He was in shape but came in with a massive advantage. Can't complain personally because he's part of my accumulator tonight, but not happy with Rocky's performance, his weight and not seeming too bothered about it.
Bellew best not be crap.

The card is indefensible Alex. It's thoroughly dreadful.
Eddie deserves a lot of criticism for trotting out this crap. This rubbish is Warrenesque.

The Cardiff card was terrific, the Glasgow card was very good and the Hull card was absolutely fantastic. The last 3 cards... Sooo. YEah, good memory
Rees V Buckland was terrific.
Coyle Vs Brizuela was FOTY
Hamilton Vs. Woodhouse was very intriguing
Burns Vs Crawford was pretty good also

Maybe he's just read your work before, and was making presumptions based on past experience.
Didn't see brook tonight. He's frustrating and has stamina issues but when he puts it together he has talent in my view. If he can't get in shape for a world title challenge he never will. I would still fancy him against malignaggi in a tough fight ( look at their relative senchenko performances as a benchmark). Porter I'd need to see more of, but from what I have seen it would be a tougher ask.

I agree these fights haven't been great, but a lot of injuries, Stephen Smith was in a genuinely very tough fight, Paul Smith Vs. Tobias Webb would have been entertaining though couldn't see past a Smith win, Callum Smith would have been nice to see on the bill. Fielding Vs. Adamu on paper when it was originally made was a genuinely good fight.
Been unfortunate really, but I agree the card has been poor, hopefully Bellew's fight will be good.

Simply hard to take seriously when he clearly hates the guy! I agree in principle, but when he starts declaring his and his brother's superiority he loses credibility as a pundit.

Was made to work at quite a fast pace for 8 rounds, against a guy who was a clearly good puncher and was barely breathing hard. Think he has actually sorted out his stamina issues with all these sports scientists guys they have brought in since the Carson Jones fight.

There was maybe 3 or 4 fights good fights across the last three Matchroom cards. The rest were mismatches. I wouldn't call those terrific or fantastic cards by any stretch of the imagination............even the imagination of a half wit like Alex.
