Does anyone really care about who the ref is these days?
Don't they all use the same rule book.

I hope they use a law book.

They all use the same law book, but like actors playing Shakespeare each ref seems to find his own interpretation.
Can we swap referees with you? I would be much happier if M. Poite were holding the whistle at Franklin's Gardens.

How do see it going?
I have a horrid feeling we are going to stuff it up.

Nice to see the Brits taking the Amlin seriously. If only we could get the French to do so.........
Best of luck. Presuming Bath are favourites going on their recent record.
Perhaps the home advantage might even things up for Wasps. I hear they have improved their defence since last year.

Re: Amlin Challenge Cup - 2nd Semi-Final - Wasps vs Bath
I take it you are referring to the Amlin qf last year Jen. Wasps defence was indeed woeful and three of Leinster's tries should have been prevented.
Defence has improved but we gifted Glaws three tries on Saturday via a botched pass, no one defending a ruck and an interception.
Bath's pack have had the edge on us recently and we will find it tough up front.
We have the pace in the backs to always be a threat but our pack will need to front up to give us a chance.

It's good that the French sides are out. I tuned into the quarter-final between Quins and Stade and it was just such a waste of time... I don't necessarily blame them, there are too many games in their schedule. Something has to give.
But having four English sides in the semis will probably mean we actually get to see some meaningful rugby.

Re: Amlin Challenge Cup - 2nd Semi-Final - Wasps vs Bath
Enjoyed watching this game and a deserved win for bath but a massive step down in intensity and skill from the sarries game which was breath taking. Few points of note...rob Webber is looking like an international hooker again and should have booked his place to middle earth with that display. Matt Garvey has to be above tom Johnson and Haskell in the pecking order now, he was immense again. Joe Simpson was awful and banahan shouldn't be considered a winger anymore especially when we have agulla and watson starting behind the lumbering giant. Lastly barrit blew me away yesterday and eastmond after being invisble followed by a stupid and deserved yellow and swearing at the ref should way down the list.

To my mind, barring what might be a serious injury that forced him off today, there can be no reason what so ever why Matt Garvey is not included in England's NZ squad this summer.
He was my MOM bullying Hughes, Haskell, Johnson et al into submission.
On this showing I can't see Haskell gaining a shirt.

Haskell made a few turnovers but doesn't make the same impact these days, scary that when fearns came on for mercer Haskell was the lightest backrow on the field !!!!
