Albion's Chairman is not going to spend money.

We only have 7/8 first team players, and a threadbare squad.

We need 4/5 first team signings, plus another 4/5 depth signings.

Players are handing in transfer requests like never before.

We've appointed Alan 'Fudging' Irvine as 'manager'.

Our coaching staff is pathetic.

More than 1,000 season ticket holders have asked for a refund.

On top of all of that, our last five fixtures - when we're likely to need points - are as follows:

A vs Liverpool
A vs United
A vs Newcastle
H vs Chelsea
A vs Arsenal

Look at the bright side, Azzy.

At least you don't live in the midlands like most West Brom fans.

My stepdad put £20 on at 6/1 the day before we appointed Irvine. He's a life-long STH and also one of the very few non-Jeremy Peace shareholders. When he's so convinced the club is doomed that he's putting money on it, you know we are indeed doomed.

Still, at least we have the New Brendan Rogers / Arsene Wenger (yes, that's what the club have called him) Laugh

I can see why tramps come to London, there are a lot of subways for them to shelter in.

I walk through one most days, and the smell of urine hits you immediately. Pungent. Once or twice, someone has left a steamer down there too. Lord knows who cleans that up.

Wonder what the odds are for Norwich to go down again?

Might stick a sneaky quid on it. Your youth team manager combined with threadbare playing squad might get a nasty kick in the goolies in the Championship.

"Threadbare playing squad" is a tad harsh considering we've lost nobody of note this summer yet!!

I think we'll get playoffs personally, can't see us getting automatic. Don't think we'll struggle, our players are all more than good enough for the division and we've got some decent youngsters to compliment them too

Maybe I'm jumping the gun - "soon to be threadbare"

But all the same it can go one of two ways usually for a team dropping down, either contending all season or struggling mightily.

With an experienced manager I'd have you nearer top than bottom, but I can't see past the guy you appointed. It's a proper West Brom move.

Nah he was pretty poor. You have to judge Celtic on their domestic cup success and I think they've won a maximum of 2 since he's been there. Pathetic for a team miles better than all the others. What was funny was him tearing into Iffy Ambrose the other night when Nigeria were playing.

Interesting one.

Think we're relatively set at CB with Reid/Tompkins/Collins so I imagine he's envisioned as our midfield enforcer to sit along with Mark Noble.

Such an Allardyce signing though. Massive, athletic, black midfielder to kick people.

GSC wrote:Why don't you want Lescott?
So many reasons:

1. He used to play for Wolves
2. His wages would be far greater than any Albion player on the books
3. Last season we paid Anelka £50k a week and Lugano £65k a week. We need to learn how to spend money more wisely, especially with a Chairman who doesn't like spending at all
4. He's not the player he was. There's a reason City barely played him last season when Kompany and half the defence was missing.
5. He's ugly. Seriously, seriously ugly.
6. He'd have to be a starter, so who drops out? Jonas Olsson or Gareth McAuley? Both are better CBs. Although as Olsson supposedly wants to leave now that Irvine is manager, this means we'd be swapping our best defender and loyal stalwart for a Dingle reject.
7. It hold back the development of Craig Dawson. He's grown so much and could be a future England CB.
8. CB is the last place we need to improve. Olsson, McAuley and Dawson are out three, no need for a big salaried woofter.

Just 8 reasons now, more to come later.

A club like West Brom?

We finished 8th the season before last. Lescott commands a weekly salary in excess of £50k a week, and has barely played for over a year. We already have three quality CBs, but have zero full backs at all and no strikers either. It's a pathetic attempt to cover up the fiasco that our club has become.

Ben Foster wants out.

Youssuf Mulumbu wants out.

Said Berahino wants out.

We let Billy Jones and Steven Reid leave - our only two RBs.

We let Liam Ridgewell and Goran Popov leave - our only two LBs.

We let Zoltan Gera and Morgan Amalfitano leave.

We sold Shane Long.

We let Lugano and Anelka leave.

We let Thievy Bifouma return to Spain. Scott Sinclair return to Citeh. Matej Vydra return to Italy.

We signed Craig Gardner, a midfielder - who we didn't need. How is he meant to get into a team with Mulumbu, Yacob, Morrison, Dorrans and Brunt all ahead of him?

Our club is a total shambles, and our two big cost signings so far are both in positions we're well set in. Madness.

Cheer up Azzy, Gardner can play a bit of full back too. So that's something.

And you've still got Anichebeast up top. He might even make it to double figures this year. In appearances.

West Brom don't have the resources to maintain that 8th in all likelihood.  Mid to lower table is a more realistic aim.

With Irvine as manager, I expect 38 starts, 2 goals, 17 yellow cards, 20th place.

Eh I think Adams will do alright, and considering the other option was Neil Lennon I'd rather we took a punt on him

Malky Mackay seems to want a Prem job, even tho there's none left

We were in for Snoddy apparently, but we'll see how that shakes out. Hooper should stay. Wolfswinkel will probably want to go won't he? Ruddy to a PL club?

You got some real beef with Neil Lennon don't you!? He's been alright at Celtic, even if we only use European performance as the benchmark.

Snodgrass is the only one I expect to leave, I think Wolfswinkel will go but I wouldn't be shocked to see him stay like I would with Snodgrass. Fer will probably go too. Bassong also but he's not a loss cos he was dogpoo last year. Ruddy will stay, Howson and Hooper too, Olsson as well. We're in a position where we don't need to sell people we want to stay. Plus we got Lewis Grabban (LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL CHERRIES)

Lennon is not only an absolute c*nt of a man, he's also a crap manager, thus I don't think he'd have been my choice!!!
