Warren Card In Trouble
First topic message reminder :
Looks like the Jul 26 Fury-Chisora bill has ran into a spot of bother.
Nav Mansouri had withdrawn from his British title fight with Liam Smith, Gary Sykes has postponed his bout with Liam Walsh and Derry Mathews may have to pull out of his match with Terry Flanagan.

Be patient young Dipper, another £40,000 and three levels and you learn the secrets of eternal youth.
But still a couple of million short of dressing up as a goat and getting rogered by the supreme being, or whatever tom cruise calls himself these days. Keep saving!

When people start saying the USA will miss Altidore, you know there's a problem. I just fear the USA have shot their bolt with that excellent game against Portugal. Against the Germans they looked tired, leggy and bereft of ideas. Hopefully a few days rest will have done them good.

Barring Ronaldo there's nothing special about Portugal...poor decision making (which one can put down to tiredness) did for USA against Portugal

There used to be two posters on the old BBC, one was called Damonknight and the other was called Tysonking. As the latter’s name suggests they were both somewhat committed in their love of Mike Tyson. They frequently stated he was the greatest heavyweight ever (often followed by the word FACT and lots of exclamation marks), when fantasy matches were proposed King Kong would have to have a good night to get out of the first round, and so it went.
When arguing against such levels of fanaticism and inflexibility of views it was not uncommon for those on the counter side to come across as strongly anti Tyson and as if we did not rate him, when obviously most of us do, just not to the degree Damon and Tyson did. Can’t help but feel the same is happening here. Suspect none of us exactly love Hearn, he is a promoter, who has ever loved a promoter. Suspect more prefer his approach to both the game and the fans to Warren, but fall short of the levels of adulation we are accused of.
I don't remember you having a problem with me slating Haye.
Hypocrisy is alive and well.

Don't have a problem you slating Hearn. Just happen to disagree with much of what you say. With regard to Haye I happen to agree with most of what you say. Given this would be just plain odd of me to challenge you about it. Not sure where you see hypocrisy in that.

Re: Warren Card In Trouble
I didn't get compared to Tysonkings for slating Haye. Say a bad word against Hearn and I am painted as a crazy fool.
I honestly don't see the great cards or clever match making from Hearn. I just don't buy there is much sunstance to his claims. All I see is a guy riding the wave of spin. Tony Blair and Obama had a very similar modus operandi.
In time people will see through Hearn and his raw ruthlessness will be clear to see.
I called Haye early and I'm doing the same with Hearn.
