Keeper Rules

- 3 players per year max.
- Can keep players twice (so three years total per guy) before forcible release.
- Players take the value of their draft round in the first redraft.
- Players move up in value by 5 rounds for the second redraft, or as high as they can go otherwise.
- If you end up with stacked picks (multiple players as keepers who count as the same round) they build up backward. e.g. if my keepers are draft picks 3, 4 and 5, I would lose draft picks 3, 4 and 5 in the first redraft and 1, 2 and 3 in the second as each player would be upgraded to an effective 1st rounder by the 5 round rule and therefore stack up.
- Undrafted players are valued at round 10 for the first redraft.
- Traded players initially count as there drafted position with the +5 rule in effect for all subsequent years.
- Years of eligibility are team specific, based on the round value of the player when traded to you. e.g. if a player is drafted in round 12 and is kept by another team for one season they will be valued as a round 7 pick when traded in year two due to the +5 rule.
- Abuse of the above rule by trading away a player over the keeper period only to get them back afterward will invalidate the resetting of two year eligibility.
- Once a player has no eligibility left on a given team they will count as a 1st rounder if traded away to somebody else and retained

As previously noted, the keeper deadline is tonight, so sometime tomorrow morning I will be posting full lists of keepers and slotting them into the draft board on the NFL.com client.

It is proposed that the draft take place as follows.

I've included US time as well as sometimes the NFL.com website refuses to acknowledge anything but US time!

Please let me know if this is an absolutely terrible time as actually attending Keeper league drafts tends to be quite important.

I agonised over keeping Brees as a 1st round pick, but ended up sticking with the old boy as he's slated for a monster year

Well a defence was kept last year, so it seems only fair for a Kicker to go this year... Kickers are people too

Well that's my keeper league season off to a great start with the news that my star keeper, Le'Veon Bell, has been charged with DUI and possession of dope.... probable suspension coming his way I imagine.

Nor have I, so that seems the way to get projected a higher grade on the NFL website.

I got a bit lucky last night consider I was facing Matt Ryan. The Falcons scored eight TDs but Ryan only got 23 points.

True that he wasn't going to get 3 TDs again anytime soon, but he's been a consistent target(average of 8 targets a game) for Manning every game so far, but the successful return/debut of O.Beckham Jr. probably had an effect today.

Was more pointing out the luck that you can have in fantasy football sometimes!
