We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
You're both quite awful, but I wouldn't rule anybody out of anything yet. Liverpool are THIRTEENTH and they are just five points off a CL spot (although, they might give up on it this year, so they can make a run for it next year). The teams are just all so close this season, u don't think it would have even cleared up by Christmas (except Chelsea winning the league, they should be coronated by then). Citeh are basically trying the Suárez trick with Agüero, and while it's working at the moment, I'd say with his injury track record, the one with the thunder thighs is not someone you want to base your entire season around. If Agüero's out, Citeh struggle (hell, with Agüero in they've made heavy weather). I'd back both Utd and Arsenal to make it, but If Southampton can make it out of December still top five, I think it begins to get interesting

Weird, you dont talk about Zaha much any more. Id rather have Noble or Delph in the side over Cattermole. And Carrick is a much better passer than Wilshere, especially in the role Wilshere is expected to play for England.

If I had to replace Jedi. I would happily take catermole or noble. Delph wouldn't be able to do that job needed. But he is a very decent footballer.Dolphin Ziggler wrote:Weird, you dont talk about Zaha much any more. Id rather have Noble or Delph in the side over Cattermole. Zaha isn't playing . there is nothing to talk about. He can't get a start. Its fair enough. Bolaise and puncheon are doing stellar jobs.

I presume its David Moyes' fault that Zaha isnt good enough to play for Palace?
Ive watched Delph play that specific role and play it very well.

No not really. But him not playing for a year has hindered his development that's for sure. Anyway why are you bringing him up. Do you want an argument.. You are a mod now . calm yourself down..

It's decisions like that which really annoy me. It's just pure common sense. Everyone on this planet could see that was a penalty.

Mangala.
That's what £32 million (or 40+ depending on who you believe) buys you at centre half these days.
Any wonder some big teams are stufying to find a decent defender.

Should of been 3-0 there.
Forster decided against coming after the shambles at Villa Park (probably should of come here) Made a good save.
And in no way is Fat Frank "World Class" anymore Nick.

He has been a brilliant impact sub. Non denying that. But he wouldn't be as effective starting.
He hasn't lost his ability to score though. Fair play.
I wonder if city will try and hold on to him for a bit longer.
Great win by city 3-0
I backed 1-3 as well come on Southampton get a consultation.

Bubble burst for Southampton. Fear they might drop like a stone now with these fixtures. Today & Villa they've looked short of ideas. Injuries will mount too

Well he is still bossing the best league in the world. Wouldn't say world class is a stupid statement. Better than any Arsenal Center midFernando wrote:Should of been 3-0 there.

To be honest, I can't really think anyone would give Frank any credit. It would be unbecoming. Two seasons ago he scored fifteen goals in 28 appearances, and he was still "Finished".

Graf posters on here hate giving credit . you have been here long enough to know that . especially if they were born in England. But he isn't world class.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
I didn't say he's world class. I just said he's been the best player in that midfield when he's played. He probably isn't world class, when you think of world class centre midfielders now you're looking at Kroos, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Modric, Fabregas types. He isn't in that class anymore, but he's certainly still very good, and is probably a big reason for why they are still in Europe (his entrance sured up a midfield that was getting ran ragged by Roma), and he's scored a few goals which are worth a bit in the league. All in all, I'd say he's been a class acquisition, and possibly the "twelfth man" of the season so far, to paraphrase a basketball award.

He isnt world class, except being a world class unt. Impressive cameos though, seems like someone at City understood the importance of Giggs and Scholes even as they aged.

It was a very lucky acquisition. And came from man city using there brains understanding new York won't be stating there season any time soon.
But he scored the winner v. Chelsea(or was it to draw) and he scored the important goal today after going down to 10 men against the second place team. Those are not just goals. But big goals. His head is still world class even if his body isn't.

It's worse when you have £36m of Dembele & Paulinho on the bench.
I can't believe how bad a player Spurs have turned Dembele into.
