We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
You're both quite awful, but I wouldn't rule anybody out of anything yet. Liverpool are THIRTEENTH and they are just five points off a CL spot (although, they might give up on it this year, so they can make a run for it next year). The teams are just all so close this season, u don't think it would have even cleared up by Christmas (except Chelsea winning the league, they should be coronated by then). Citeh are basically trying the Suárez trick with Agüero, and while it's working at the moment, I'd say with his injury track record, the one with the thunder thighs is not someone you want to base your entire season around. If Agüero's out, Citeh struggle (hell, with Agüero in they've made heavy weather). I'd back both Utd and Arsenal to make it, but If Southampton can make it out of December still top five, I think it begins to get interesting

I think the deflection off Jagielka pushed it further away then Howard expected hence the poor push out towards the wing.

Yeah exactly. Really do like Harry Kane, think he does have potential. English as well, always a bonus.

2-1 Tottenham. Great game of football. 2 exciting sides. Harry Kane has been outstanding. Made that goal for Soldado there.

Everton need to get Eto'o off, slowing everything down and means Barkley isn't in the game as much.

2 good teams. I wouldn't be surprised it they occupy 5th and 6th. But Tottenham did control things well at home. Kane and soldado together could actually be potent.

He is beyond an idiot. The sooner he is sold to the next stupid club to think they can actually turn him into something resembling a professional the better.

Just sell him and quick. I think he is a virus and does nothing for morale at any club he goes to. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but i cant help but feel some of Liverpool's problems are just down to him being about.

Embarrassing on all levels is Mario. Brendan, what a signing!
As for who buys him, Milan with Torres & Inter with Mancini are out the question. Russia, he'd get abused silly. South America might be the next option. The further he gets away from Liverpool the better.

Off to Palace Villa tonight.
3 draws on the spin. Need to get the 3 points tonight.
Benteke is back from suspension, wont be 100%.
Have to cut out the silly mistakes.
To have any chance of winning, we need to be 2 goals ahead.
The last time we scored 2 in a game was our 2-1 win at home to Hull in august.
Fck it, I'm going for 2-1 Villa.
Benteke & Gabby.
C'mon the Villa boys.

Will be tough. Difficult place to go.
Would I take a draw, yes.
We need to start winning though.
Looking forward to it.
Last time I was at Selhurst Park we lost 4-1, think Southgate was playing for you.
I've not seen us win(live) since we beat Norwich 3-2 in october? 11.
Since then I have seen us play about 10 times, no league wins,(saw us beat Bradford home in semi final).
So the omens are good for Palace, maybe I should'nt go.
But then again I am due to see us win.

Turkey might be an option, USA or China if he's not bothered about remaining in a really competitive environment. There are probably still a few teams in Italy who would take a chance with him, Napoli where Higuain has been struggling, Roma are trying to challenge for the league. Monaco might have him since they don't have Falcao any more.
I'm sure there are clubs who would definitely be stupid enough to take him at a cut-price deal, just like Liverpool were in the summer. As much as a lot of problems this season can be attributed to Rodgers, I'm not sure Balotelli can, by all accounts Rodgers was totally against the deal and it was only when nobody else could be brought in that he finally accepted it.

Come now, are you telling us Brendan was forced to toe the party line by saying he was pleased with the signing of Balotelli when he really wasn't? My ghast has never been so flabbered!!!!!!!Crimey wrote:John wrote:Embarrassing on all levels is Mario. Brendan, what a signing!

What a cut-throat sneaky underhanded business this football lark is. I hope there's some kind of professional body out there who are willing and able to actively investigate this sort of thing.

Burnley might be catching the Toon at the right time. Our unbeaten run was great, but if we lose tonight, that is our bubble well & truly blown, with shocking fixtures to come. Can see Newcastle being slowly dragged back down over Xmas, if we lose tonight. No Coloccini, Krul, Janmaat is a ?, Sissoko, Colback, Aarons or R. Taylor. Long term we still have Obertan, De Jong & Santon out too.

Brendan didn't want Balotelli my balls. They got caught out enquiring about him way in advance and clearly bottled going for Bony, which as a good manager he could have pushed for.
