Brighton are dreadful, can't give players of that qualify space.

Reasonable 2nd half from Hammers earlier this afternoon. Quality from Sakho and Carroll put in some excellent work. Pleased to see that Hammers fielded a full strength side.

No as he's on his back, if it's an outfield player then there is a good chance he could impact the game, just makes sense for referees to stop the game straight away when giving a red card, saves them getting more abuse than they already do.
It's not what was said though just that you can't be red carded with an advantage and he has
the ref deemed that no advantage was gained when he didnt put the ball in the net so pulled it back

Crystal Palace v Liverpool or Bolton Wanderers
Arsenal v Middlesbrough
Aston Villa v Leicester City
West Brom v West Ham
Bradford City v Sunderland or Fulham
Blackburn Rovers v Rochdale or Stoke
Derby County v Reading
Preston or Sheffield United v Cambridge United or Manchester United.
Three more Prem teams definitely out. Easy for United and Arsenal.
Annoyed to get Pulis. And really f***ing annoyed that its Valentine's weekend. We better not be the evening game!

Re: FA Cup Final Thread - 2014/15 season
I don't think the cup has lost anything. So what if the 'big clubs' have gone out? It has only been the last 20-25 years that 'big clubs' have really dominated the cup. Before that is was always quite open. From 1973 to 1980 three clubs from outside the top flight won the cup.LiamB wrote:FA cup might of got its magic back, but it's not a top cup anymore. These big sides treating it like what it is, a big distraction to major other objectives. Flying back from the Middle East 24 hours before the game says it all. Hopefully we get a top final but with the top sides now likely to meet before hand, fully expect a United/Millwall type final.

Chelsea, Man United and Man City all took it lightly, they did after all only use 13 full internationals each with players earning more in a month than the whole squads of their opposition do in a year.

Excuse me? Easy for Arsenal? Did you not notice who we knocked out in the previous round?
Boro will be full of confidence and will not fear anyone after our trip to the Etihad. The Gunners will take us lightly at their peril.

No offence intended Dyre, but I'm sure they wont have shaken in their boots over a Championship side, especially one who probably have blown their load in the cup and definitely care more about the league.
Best news of all is that West Ham are seriously concerned that FIFA will be lobbying for us to be thrown out of the cup because Sakho played.

You're being genorous calling it a suspect dive Nando, think the only thing Skrtel made contact with was the lads laces, really poor decision and Phil Neville saying he got clipped on commentary shows how inept he is.

I think I'll probably back Liverpool, feel like they may wanna give it a real go to make sure they have the chance of success come seasons end. Rodgers is a failure if he doesnt win something or make top 4 (the Arsene trophy, I think they call it)
I'd go:
Liverpool
Arsenal
Aston Villa
West Brom
Sunderland (after replay)
Stoke (after replay)
Derby County
Manchester United

Good game that, Bolton were very good defensively, just happy to see the team break down a stubborn side, doesn't always happen.

West Ham play a player who is supposedly ineligible, he scores the only goal in a 1-0 win, and they get £90k win bonus.
FIFA fines them £71k and they keep their place in the cup.
HOW IS THAT FAIR TO BRISTOL CITY?

Think Can is starting to come into his own a lot more, lovely chip for Sterling who took his goal well. I look forward to seeing Jon Flanagan back as well and maybe Can pushing forward a bit more...probably have to wait til next season now.
Think Joe Allen has shown he's not up to the task but no doubt Rodgers will give him the chance to prove himself. He's neither strong enough in defence or creative enough in attack for my liking. He was bullied all over the pitch last night.

Re: FA Cup Final Thread - 2014/15 season
It has everything to do with Bristol City. They lost to West Ham because Allardyce fielded a supposedly ineligible player. He scored the only goal. For West Ham to keep their place, and make a £19k profit from it, what's to stop every single PL club doing this in future? At the very least, choose expulsion from the cup or a fine to actually punish the club, like £270k. What Bristol City have done is follow the rules, play fairly, and treated their opponents with respect. For that, they've been cheated by the Football Association and FIFA. It's a disgrace.Dolphin Ziggler wrote:TheSecondComing wrote:West Ham play a player who is supposedly ineligible, he scores the only goal in a 1-0 win, and they get £90k win bonus.
