Sadly I'd take him everyday of the week and twice on a Sunday over any of the others we have available. The rumours of us spending £23.5m on Berahino are awful and if true serious questions need to be asked.

If the scousers want him to be a PL forward he's need to be burying them Mysti. All he needed to do was aim it really the pace was on the ball.

Another £5m and you could have someone like Jackson Martinez. Id be crying if ever spent £23.5m on Berahino. He's good but 10-15m good at best.

Sadly Martinez doesn't fit the signing profile the owners want, they want young players signed who can then be sold for a profit.

Superb finish from Lallana, showed some of the class we saw at Southampton.

3-1 Lallana
Quality goal made it look simple. Someone remind me why his been sat on the bench most the season?

Because most of the time he's all flashy touches/flicks that don't come off and Coutinho is better?Fernando wrote:3-1 Lallana

Lallana starting to settle nicely now, offering final product along with his neat play.
Not sure good performance has anything to do with Gerrard missing, this is very similar performance levels to the game at Arsenal and he started then. Olly you have a weird obsession at blaming everything good at Liverpool is because of no Gerrard and everything bad is Gerrard, it's bordering on ridiculous. I'd say over half your posts about Liverpool reference Gerrard in some way and almost always it's unnecessary and irrelevant.

You'd have thought would be looking at Mattia Destro then or someone around that quality then Berahino

You'd have thought so, sadly we seem to have a love affair with paying over the top prices for British players.

Marriner just evened up the Shelvey incident earlier there, Sterling could of easily walked for that.

I suspect if the FA are douches as usual Raheem may have just put himself into the Cisse/Shelvey argument but throwing his hand into Fernandez's face like a douche. Weren't happy with just pushing him in the crowd...

Neville mentioned at half time that the officials have to say they didn't see it for the action to be taken, so if either Marriner or the linesman say they didn't see either one of those incidents they'll just be admitted they're not fit to be anywhere near a premier league game.

I think I like Balotelli the least of any player I have ever seen play for Liverpool, I didn't think anybody would top Poulsen in that regard.

Pretty much considering both were right infront of the ref & linesman...But then again Marriner has always been a awful ref.

Neville: I expect Sterling/Shelvey to get away with their incidents. There is no way Andre Marriner & the Lino can come out of this with any credibility if they say they didn't seen either incident.

Newcastle statement: Today Crystal Palace have agreed a level of compensation that leaves Alan Pardew to talk the club.

I am also gonna stick a score on sherwood to be newcastles next manager.
and to be honest i can see it working. Ashley loves a English geezer. and Newcastle has a squad good enough to give him some room to develop his own style.

Not surprised, it's the cheap option of not appointing someone & it just plugs the hole & keeps things ticking over, until the summer. We aren't getting relegated, so no rush to appoint a manager.

Apparently Peace is willing to change the structure, about time too, at which point Pulis comes into the running. Sherwood apparently the favourite. McInnes at Aberdeen has the ex-player link, doing a good job there but probably too soon.
Other options probably Jol or the old Porto manager Pereira. Top of my wishlist would be Dyche or McClaren but realistically, not going to happen.

Only 10pts John barely 3 games, one bad run of form now Alan is off which seems likely as the fans will throw a bitch fit against Ashley and you could back in amongst it very easily.

Pardew was doing nothing for us anyway towards the end, he got lucky that we got injuries & he was forced to play the youth, who were actually pretty decent. Losing Pardew doesn't do much for me, if Colo is appointed, he's an experienced leader & already has the respect of the players. We will be fine, we have De Jong coming back too. So many worse teams below us it's untrue. Anyway, a 10 point lead doesn't go in three games, not all those teams win, it would be about seven or eight games before we would be dragged down there, we already have 26, when survival is usually mid 30 to high 30's.
