I have to move over 1000 concrete blocks (the forklift got bogged at the front just after it rained a week or so before Christmas) and it has taken me ages... 6 at a time by wheelbarrow over the last couple of weeks (with few days break in between).

I tried to start early to avoid the heat but keep getting caught at around 9-10 in the morning each day. I've been a walking puddle in effect.
Only had 3 showers today though compared to the usual 5 or 6! Finished the chore today though. Completely knackering work.

Thanks Galted, do feel like you have just given me ones I would have had a chance of getting anyway. Was the music round classical or popular? Normally do well when it is popular, less so on classical, unless JS Bach pays off for me.

Good skills Superfly, was going to ask you about classical music, was considering getting into it but really don’t know where to start. TSMR is about as p*ssed off as it is possible to be with the jazz. I need to attack from another front. Where would you recommend I dip my toe.

I always plonk for Monet for art. That way if the answer is Manet, I can claim I was misheard. Twice the chance to get one right.

I'd suggest starting with a couple of fairly accessible concertos - Tchaikovsky's violin concerto and Bach's cello concerto are both fantastic.

Seems clichéd, but you can't go far wrong with Beethoven. The 9th symphony is an incredible piece of music and the fourth movement (Ode to Joy) encapsulates all that's great in classical music. It also has some choral parts to it and might lead you to things like Mozart's Requiem. As a jazz fan, you may also like Beethoven's Hammerklavier.

I think you're right Galted, did not play about when it come to Jazz, straight into Coltrane and Davis, the big boys and that worked out pretty well. Also the more hardcore you go the more I will p*ss off TSMR which is obviously a consideration.

I prefer to call it "orchestral" music, michaels, as the term "classical" refers to a specific era ending with the death of Beethoven.

Didn't know there was such a thing as a black Russian but white ones can be quite pleasant.
