Morning all,

I had to go into town this morning. It was like soup. Looking at the office workers and tourists struggling with the humidity brought back fond memories of my many years working for large commercial firms in the big smoke.

It's so cool and trendy these days... but the people are still mostly wearing that blank expression which says: I wish I wasn't here... too much noise and so much concrete for the heat to radiate out of.

One poor bastard having a fag next to some grimy oil-stained loading dock entry had that look: I want to smack my boss... real hard!

Being your own boss is one of the benefits of not being in that sort of environment every day.
It was a timely reminder for me to refocus on how lucky I am to be a free agent... so to speak.
