In Round 3, three players shared the low round mark of 68. In Round 4,four five players shared that score meaning that 26! low round bonuses were awarded. Barragan, Beninho, Boyhyde, Incontinentia, Raycastleunited, and The Cleaver had two of the five. Kwinigolfer had three of the five; see, I told you yesterday he was killing it. The low scorers in order of popularity were Dustin Johnson again, Ryan Palmer, John Peterson, Chad Campbell, and Kyle Reifers.
Kwini had half of the Top 10 in his picks and another one on the threshold. He and Jimmy Walker managed to convert the 54 hole lead into a W pipping the charging Raycastleunited who also had six picks score points. 1GrumpyGolfer had five picks score points but they were of varying quality and didn't include Walker. This saw him slide down the leaderboard as Davie, Beninho, and Incontinentia moved ahead with three, four, and four picks scoring points respectively; both Davie and Beninho had the 1-2 combo in Walker and Jordan Spieth. BlueCoverman had that same combination in his four scoring picks and he finished level with 1GrumpyGolfer. Hibbz and RedRage also picked the winner and had three and two picks score points. Super_Realist had four of his picks score points in an unusually good performance for Super; expect a visit from the pee in a cup brigade soon... CJB, EmmDee57, and LadyPutt all had four picks score but not enough high place finishes to earn lots of points. Pedro also had four picks score but not all were for the right reasons. Barragan, Boyhyde, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver each had three picks score points. I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and SirBenson each had two picks score points. Sand's lucky numbers weren't that lucky but he did have one pick score points.
Pedro's Michael Putnam had a bad day; his 83 was the worst of the day and to add insult to injury he finished last too.

TPC San Antonio hosts events on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour. For the PGA they play on the flatter but more difficult Oaks course. You know, the one where Kevin Na took a 16 on a par 4 when he got stuck in the rocks and undergrowth. It's one of the toughest events in relation to par. Last year's winner, Steven Bowditch, won the war of attrition on the last day. His 76 was the second highest final round winning score in a non major event. Out of the last nine champions only Adam Scott is missing and Zach Johnson and Justin Leonard have multiple wins here. Johnson went back to back in 2008/9 and Leonard has three Texas Open titles including back to back from 2000/1; his latest win was in 2007.
A trio of Top 10 OWGR Americans headline the field in Jordan Spieth, Jim Furyk, and Dustin Johnson. 18 of the Top 50 are here and for those Bubble Boys just outside this is your final opportunity to make it to the Masters via the Top 50. If you don't you'll have one last chance to go big or stay home by winning Houston next week. Brendon Todd, Marc Warren, and Harris English are 51-53 respectively.
There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one. There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category. Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus. It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.
This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:
Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligble for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place.
It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply. Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

First tee times 7:30 in San Antonio / 12:30 back in sunny England. Plenty of time for latecomers to get their picks in.

Colt Knost was making a strong bid for worst of the day but he heard the buffet might be finished by the time he completed 18 so he's carted his fat arse outathere. That messes with some picks too.
War of attrition out there.

Wouldn't make a difference in this case SirB. The reserve is used when a pick withdraws prior to the start if, like in these cases the withdrawal is after they start then it's back luck.

Unofficial update for Round 1
With the strong winds for the morning wave three players called it quits midway through their rounds and several Fantasy Leaguers were hit by that. Two can take consolation in the fact that one of their other picks was among the small group to shoot 70 or lower. That was the number needed to get into the Top 5 Low Round scores. 4 of the 5 players to do so were picks. Ryan Palmer was the popular pick amongst the Fantasy Leaguers and was picked by 8 of the 12 that scored points. Phil Mickelson and Aaron Baddeley were also in the Top 5. Charley Hoffman was the other pick and he had the low round of the day. Hoffman was picked by three Fantasy Leaguers. Only one Fantasy Leaguer had more than one pick score points and that was Super_Realist! Please do not book an appointment at the opticians, you did read that correctly.
Amateur Sam Burns had a rude awakening to the big boys league, he opened with an 89.

Good job this was the unofficial update. Hibbz was missed off of the list of those who picked Hoffman and he shares second place. All those who scored 10 points are in joint 5th and everyone else yet to score is in 14th.
Full update will come in a couple of hours time

Not necessarily the same bets as my fantasy picks. This week I had Jerry Kelly (layed back for profit), Scott Brown, Cheeson Hadley, Charley Hoffman and Stevan Bowditch.

Zac Blair withdraws due to a "back" injury. Yeah, right, he was so far "back" there was no chance of getting paid.
He probably won't be the last.

Ryan Palmer was the popular pick amongst the Fantasy Leaguers and was picked by 8 of the 13 that scored points. Phil Mickelson and Aaron Baddeley were also in the Top 5. Charley Hoffman was the other pick and he had the low round of the day. Hoffman was picked by four Fantasy Leaguers. Only one Fantasy Leaguer had more than one pick score points and that was Super_Realist! Please do not book an appointment at the opticians, you did read that correctly.
Amateur Sam Burns had a rude awakening to the big boys league, he opened with an 89.

Re: Fantasy League 2015 - Winter/Spring Session - Event #09
Many many years ago, long before V2 (and possibly before 606V1 too) I used to run a comp like this on a forum. One of our members used to submit a "porn star" team. Either players with a dodgy German porn star look, or someone with a name (yes almost exclusively American) with a name that sounded like a porn star - or just plain silly.
Sometimes, especially in limited field tournaments, there were slim pickings, but usually a team could be found. Other weeks some of the same names would reappear but there were always lower ranked and lesser known players making new appearances who fully deserved their place!
I wonder if Grumps, and the rest of the entrants, would be happy with me entering a porn star pick, in addition to my own proper picks. Not for any glory, just for laughs
For example, this week (though it's too late for a proper entry now - oooh err missus!) the team may have looked like ...
Cat A: Jim FurryDyck, Dustin's Johnston, Matt EveryNight
Cat B: Charley Hoffman, David Lingmerth, Kiradech Alfie-Barnrat
Cat C: Johnson's Wagner, Kevin Kisner, Colt Knost (sadly withrawn)

Shawn Stefani is a porn star name in its own right. Though likely to be a girl!
