Introduce yourself!
First topic message reminder :
A warm welcome to the rugby members of this board.
However, you found us, it doesnt matter!
If you are an old 606er, then let us know who you were. If you have found us by some other means - tell us a bit about yourself.
So get mingling people!

Facts can be wumming if the intention is to wind someone up.
I think you've got lying and wumming mixed up

Re: Introduce yourself!
Hi all, nice to see plenty of regs on here from t'other place.
Posted on 606 for a few years as pjholybloke, I'm not Holy - it's just my surname, sort of, and was regularly referred to as pjholierthanthou.
Played rugby for over 20 years at school and club level, spent most of that time as a devastatingly average 7, and have a deep love for Bath and England and an on-the-side kind of thing for Connacht as me Mam's a Galway lass. I get down to The Rec when work allows, but have never had the pleasure of The Sportsground.
I'm looking forward to the World Cup in September, and fancy Ireland to turn up for this one.
Oh, and I'm also a serial pedant, for which I could make insincere apologies were I that way inclined.
Game on.

Repeated wumming wasn't it?
Nope. Posting facts isn't wumming unless you don't like the facts.
It's amazing everyone didn't have their accounts removed on a regular basis then.

Rugbydreamer , it all looks good in the hood, home-from-home but without the over-sensitive Beeb censorship and so far very little in the way of BS posts.

Re: Introduce yourself!
Hello, my name is Sin é (which is Irish for 'Thats it') and I'm a Munsterfan (as if you needed to be told that!). As I'm from Tipperary, I'd also be very fond of my hurling as well. Great weekend last weekend - Munster beat Leinster and Tipp beat Cork.
I posted on the old BBC 606 for the last 4 years or so. This looks to be a nice place so I'll do my best to keep all those Leinster fans from losing the run of themselves. that I am.

No the only people who can remove comments are admins, mods and you can remove your own comments.

I found it wound the WUMs up even more when you deleted their comments and told them why you'd deleted them, but only after other people had read their posts

Ahoy-hoy!
To put it sweetly, I'm a student in Dublin who loves rugby union for what it is - a game. I'm slowly squeezing out the bias in me, but otherwise I'm an Irish supporter. Someday, I'd like to try my hand at refereeing.
Kudos to the moderators/administrators for their stellar work on this site. Hazaa!
Now, as soon as Zed gets here, the party will begin.

Re: Introduce yourself!
Hi,
I'm a semi retired king of the internet. Went under a variety of names combinations of seabiscuit, lethal_majeed/seabiscuit/wales/henson and Peter Wheeler at various time on 606 over the last few years.
Main sporting interest are Rugby ( good inside links with Tigers and untill recently Leeds), cricket, MMA, and womens flat track roller derby.
Currently learning to ref, so respect me :P
Other hobbies are annoying the Welsh in a chummy endearing way, outing Mikeyphil accounts, getting lost in disused mines.

I'm glad so many of the old 606's decent posters have chosen to come to 606v2.
I'm luckless_pedestrian and I took my name from a line in a Steely Dan song. I used to be etienne_lantier on 606 but people kept confusing me for a Frenchman so I had to change it, n'est-ce pas?

Mick am I correct in saying you support Les Bleus in test rugby? When you were growing up, did you support England? When was the tipping point?
Just curious- had a similar discussion with Gibbo during the soccer WC about his allegiances between the Netherlands and Ireland.

Unfamiliarity? We have years of "previous" man. We "hate" each other.... in a nice way.
Sometimes though, you have to educate the kids... Take them out of their provincial boxes. It's an on-going Project.

Sounds like a good way to be. Getting coverage of handball in the UK or Ireland is really hard. I've almost never seen the game played.
