Nobody's blaming it as the sole reason for a defeat, Novak is clearly just better than Andy today. But it doesn't exempt the act from criticism.
Same with kingraf's bizarre assertion that it isn't gamesmanship because he's done it before. So? It's still affecting the opponent and seems to be a deliberate attempt to throw him off his game.
Spot on. No complaints when Novak wins as he has been the better player clearly but is there any need to chuck in the dying swan routine? I cannot recall Ali using his head to cut opponents - no need. Djokovic leads 6-3 6-3.

Perhaps Andy trying a similar ruse here. Playing complete carp for two sets. Watch out Novak!

Andys stats speak for themselves, hes by far the 4th best player of his generation, no denial changes that. Can andy hold this until the weather arrives

It isn't gamesmanship, or at least not in the way diving is. Diving is intentionally deceiving the ref. This is more like... well, he's pretending to be sick or he isn't. There is no reason to keep falling for it. If he's really sick bagel him.

No I am not using it as an excuse. Players are in control of themselves out there and you react accordingly to it. However, that does not make what Novak does any more palatible. He is good enough to win matches (as he has shown here) without resorting to such tactics.
SEETHING.
Andy is continually bigged up as the big 4. There isn't a big 4 and there never was. There was a big 3. Now it's just a big 1. Murray isn't in Djokovic's league and you need to realize that to avoid further disappointment.
Welcome to the forum. Avoid further disappointment? Na I still recall him becoming first Brit to win a slam for 70 years, followed by winning Wimbledon and winning Olympic Gold. Also only the tenth player in the Open era to reach all four slams semi three times and stacks of other mind-blowing stats.

This is starting to look worryingly routine. Can Andy stem the tide?

Do you even know what gamesmanship is? I don't think Novak was doing it, but if we take your statement to be true - he was.
Please learn what gamesmanship is.

Unfortunately for us Murray fans, he's by far the 4th best player in both directions. No great disgrace given the class of those above him, of course.

It is how it is, should be thankful to have him, look at the US for example. Deliberately trying to put down peoples factual achievements is something I cannot stand. This was the expected result, its just a shame that the one time Novak was in trouble, he suddenly looked ill

Well I'd sooner the match was completed today for all concerned. Don't want this dragging out into tomorrow.

One crumb of comfort to nibble on - at least this isn't the same range of thrashing he received in the semi V Nadal last year at RG.

Re: French Open 2015 Day 13 - Let's get ready to mumble....
This reminds me of the Murray of previous years on clay. Looking half a yard off the pace and with a lack of punch on his shots, on both wings. Perhaps the cooler clay season before today has been much more favourable conditions for Andy, and that's why he's done so well up to now.
On a high bouncing dusty court he looks blunted, and moving nowhere near as well. Like most years.

Murray has yet to see a BP. Djokovic is a miserly player.
Can Murray nick a set here? Possibly a TB.

Does asking for the crowd to shout and cheer count as gamesmanship? Certainly seems to affect Novak's game.
Not that Murray has a prayer of winning this match. Not that you'd know it from the way the commentators are bigging him up haha.

As a Murray fan, I would settle for a five setter at this point. Even if Andy loses, he will have proven a point if he can go the distance with Novak.

Do you really believe players feel better about losing in 4 to losing in 3? Players who are playing to win a Slam? Clearly you don't play competitive sport.

Hero? And I've already explained Muzza could retire now and he will do so with a US Open title, Wimbledon title, Olympic Gold, a hatful of top titles and records. Nothing can ever take them away from him.

It won't be a great loss considering what I have read from you so far, and your past history seems to suggest you are a very biased moderator. The reason this forum is rather dead is because of your kind of "modding".
