If i was a Liverpool fan id be saying this was a penalty cos Mascherano's knee touched him. But it's not a pen.
Howard Webb somehow believes it's a pen...

I do laugh when Howard Webb is used to back up certain opinions on decisions, he was and still is awful.

You should be lovely after all the work he did for United over the years. He deserved a testimonial

I could count them on 1 hand. However id need the world's largest abacus for the times he was helpful.
Danny Mills & Howard Webb calling it a pen now. Apparently contact = pen

Also I miss Suarez, he has this weird ability to do things badly but it end up right. Shinning the ball today and his weird dribbling style where he seems to be falling over and always on the verge of losing it.
If he continues his current form, it'll be very hard to ignore him for Ballon D'Or.

Jupp made back to back Champions League finals, winning the latter, yet was forced out as Guardiola was a 'proven champion to make FC Bayern more dominate'. Yet after 3 seasons and unlimited money Guardiola made ZERO Champions League finals...

That's a proper heavyweight clash going on in Munich, over the two legs it's gone from 2-0 to Bayern, then to 4-2 to Juve and back all even now at 4-4.

I'd say from pure ability Suarez was better, certainly that final season, but think Gerrard was better.

Suarez was favourite player during his time at Liverpool. Skill, goals, assists, and a bloody hard worker.
Thought Arsenal played well tonight, but they always do when it's too late. Never a penalty for me.

That's why I termed Suarez the most gifted, as I would term Ronaldo Utd's most gifted in modern times but not necessarily Utd's best.

United not playing like Van Gaal usually does at all, high tempo and using pace. Still, Liverpool need one goal to kill the tie really.

More annoyed at Clyne. Normally sensible, Martial wasn't in a great position, no need to stick your foot in, he was surrounded.

Van Gaal's changes, needing 3 goals, was swapping both full backs and changing his holding midfielder. What's the point? Just go for it!!

Not quiet at all, fully deserved win for you and shows that within 6 months the Klopp philosophy of play is taking effect yet 2 years on LVG's plan is probably further away than it's ever been.

Being fair to LVG that is how he likes his football to be played. Boring, unimaginative and methodical.
He has had success using this model but its so far removed from what where used to seeing from Man U its crazy.
If LVG goes, who would you like to see as his successor?

Good draw for Real. Avoided the big guns and one of Barca/Atletico will get knocked out in the next round which is always good news.GSC wrote:Wolfsburg Real Madrid

Probably the most boring possible ties, but means the weaker sides are likely to get knocked out making the semi-finals strong.
Expecting the semi-finals to be Barca/Real/Bayern/PSG.

Not so convinced although the 4 favourites are obviously Barca, Real, Bayern and PSG. Bayern and Real should qualify, but City could well beat PSG over 2 legs, and if anyone is going to stop Barca it's Simeone's Atletico.

Being fair Aubameyang has got the pace to make make every defence wary.
At least Klopp knows what to expect from Dortmond and will prepare us well.

Looking forward to it! Imagine there was hope that it'd be the final, but after the Champions League draw was a bit disappointing imagine that will be the tie of the rounds in Europe.

Sakho to me has always been hampered in popular opinion by the fact he looks weird when he plays. Terrifying eyes, weird running action and bent back. It looks completely graceless

Well currently my two favourite managers are either residing with the enemy or on their way (Klopp and Pep), of what's available then I'd like Pochettino but I'm resigned to Mourinho or heaven forbid Giggs.

I think Man U would be better off with Gary Neville. I know he hasn't set the world alight at Valencia but a big part of that is to do with his lack of knowledge of Valencia and Spanish Football in general. He knows Man U inside out and would be better than Giggs.
