Was discussing Clarke with a few of the guys around my age in the team. Clarke is 34, full time professional sportsman and he is fecked. He can stand at slip and waddle between the wickets for 10 mins whilst he's batting. Puts our aches, pains and lethargic chasing down of the ball in to perspective.

Despite my laddish claims I did used to read. Then I started drinking. The 2 are incompatible for me.

Need to cut the pitch and then the square but it'll be lager through till 12 after that I expect. First time I've been to the Royal Marsden in normal hours yesterday. Seeing kids, women in head scarves killed me, that was before seeing the old man. Bunch of troopers they are there.
