Garcia v Malinaggi
What do people make of this?
I am liking the look of Paulie at 8/1. Just have a feeling he may be able to outbox him, unless he is completely shot.

Two chins going at it.....
Doubt Garcia can stop it, but reckon judges will give him the rounds.

Re: Garcia v Malinaggi
Garcia struggled with the jab and movements of both Herrera and Peterson, so yea there is a chance of an upset but Garcia is just too good for him. His much heavier hands should convince him to win enough rounds to the judges even if he is outboxed most of the fight he will land the more telling blows.

Re: Garcia v Malinaggi
What sickens me is Garcia getting $1.3m for this. That's why boxing is a mess, you get rewarded for ducking fighters these days it seems. What's worse is that Malignaggi is an irrelevance to the division and is making a nice niche for himself for fighters moving up to avoid Lucas. 1.3m to fight Malignaggi, what a joke.
Garcia mentioned Khan and Thurman. Bet your bottom dollar it won't be Thurman, that's just blatantly using Keith's name. Fans just don't see it when they're being conned. These light welterweights moving up to prolong their careers but won't fight real welterweights.Sure Danny Thurman is it, I believe you. Garcia and Khan deserve each other. Neither of them deserve a payday till they take on a top five welter. So they'll get a payday off each other instead. Total con but people just can't see it . And Angel Garcia should give up, he ain't funny anymore.

Malignaggi will be by far the busier fighter. Could make it close. Seen Garcia gas before so expected a few twists. Maybe a controversial one

Rousey? Right on. Way more exciting than Malignaggi.

Of course Haz! I love her.
Come on now Steffan you know one in 3 men in the valleys is a trained mma fighter. Why else would you see so many of those 'TAPOUT!!' T-shirts?
As for the boxing. Garcia decision. Think Paulie's been to the well too many times now.

Garcia isn't a mauler/brawler like hatton, porter or cotto and isn't a master boxer like khan, I doubt it'll be a blowout

I love Rousey... Don't think her fight will be showing in South Africa, but I won't be catching this. I'm not sure what I'll be doing, but it won't be watching this.
It could be a good fight though, depending on how much Malignaggi has left in him.

Paulie is not as quick now, so think he will lose, prime he would have probably taken it by points..

Hopefully that's the end of Mallinaggi. He should try and retire with his brain intact, he's one of the better commentators around, he's taken plenty of significant head trauma in his career, time to call it a day. Too much heart, and he just hasn't the power to ever get back into fights in which he's behind.

Re: Garcia v Malinaggi
Garcia once again failed to impress, Malignaggi made him miss a lot and landed too many clean right hands for my liking but Danny to be fair to him was in control for the majority of the fight with his much stronger punching
I agree malignaggi should call it a day, Danny is a good fighter but not a great one and malignaggi didn't win a round. Because of his lack of power he's always had to rely on his handspeed, footwork and conditioning as the only way he's going to win is on points. His way of fighting requires a hell of a lot of energy to achieve and at his age with the miles on the clock he just doesn't have it
Not sure where garcia will go, but his heavy hands, chin and good timing make him dangerous for anyone but feel he'll fail against the top fighters at 147. Would like to see him against Brook that's a great fight

Re: Garcia v Malinaggi
Outside of talking about Floyd & Manny, Paulie M is definitely one of the best pundits/commentators out there at the moment.
His mouth was always his greatest asset, and unlike his punch resistance & reflexes, it's got many many more years left in it.
Retire, Paulie, and do everyone a favour - including yourself!
Don't like Garcia, really wanted to see him get the Floyd fight for what an utter dominant schooling it would have been. Would've been a proper send off too rather than the meaningless joke fight Floyd went for.....

I only wish that he'd stay a pundit fulltime !!
How many shots is this boring stinker going to get just because he's a big gob color commentator.
Get lost paulie.........and stop wasting our time.
