Irrelevant I know but I did some research on whether Argy or Argie is an offensive term. It appears that the general rule is you are allowed to call them Argies or an Argy, unless you are British. This stems from a certain red top newspaper who used the term in a derogatory manner during the Falklands war.

Whilst researching, there was an Aussie who claimed that during commentary, the Aussie commentators still refer to Pakistanis in the abbreviated form that we are not allowed to anymore.

I see the error of my ways but I think there was a reason I used the inflammatory description and it wasn't in jest at current affurs.

Problem is Sean if I leave stuff like that up on here it somewhat undermines my ability to delete or remove such comments in sections where they are likely to cause arguments or offence. Makes me look more than a little inconsistent.

Probably not Ali, but we are all friends on here and take things in the spirit they are meant I would like to think. Doing it on the main pages where other users can see them is likely to be more problematic. Truth is if we applied the house rules strictly on the CC the quizzes and Jule's puns would survive and little else, but tend to come on here to not have to clean up threads and delete comments.

Subway? I went to one today. They were serving one person every 5 minutes so went to chip shop instead. Small battered sausage chips and curry sauce. Hit the mark. 9.5/10

Yes, Subway. Don't usually go in there but it's wet, miserable and cold today.

I had a cheese salad sandwich. Elevated at least two points by the quality of the cheese, which I purchased at the Rotherham Show this weekend from a local dairy. I really can't stress enough how excellent it was.

What kind of cheese?

A very strong cheddar, it was lovely. I tend to find with a lot of strong cheddars they crumble too easily and so are tough to grate, this was was strong of flavour and solid of body. Spectacular stuff really.

I don't really like mature cheddar in sandwiches. With a glass of red and some grapes and celery it is smashing.

Said this before but I had this cheese called Blue Cashel which the cook had soaked in port. That was the best cheese I have ever tasted.

Went to a posh restaurant in Chester for the tenth anniversary, they had a cheese board there, you could either have the cheese board or the bread board. I went with bread, and by thunder it was beautiful.
